I still maintain the series finale was THE BEST series finale of all time. To me, no other tops it. This was when HBO was at its top. From Sex and the City, Sopranos, Six Feet Under, Deadwood, Oz, The Wire. For my wife and I it was MUST SEE TV every week.

This show is my therapy. It is very special. I miss the characters so much.

Loved this show! Used to come over to my girl friends house when it first came out to have dinner and watch this with her. She has been my wife for 17 years.

I was fortunate enough to have watched every single episode as it aired on HBO. I have subsequently re-watched the series several times and the ending still brings me to tears. Certainly one of my all time favorite shows to this day.

Most beautiful show ever created ..A masterpiece!

I love this show, too. It was just macabre enough to be interesting (like when Claire stole the foot?) but it also made you realize that aspect was mostly in your head. I also loved the way they handled David's homosexuality; his coming out, his coming to terms with himself and accepting himself as much as fighting to be accepted. Michael C. Hall did a great job with that whole arc. Such a good job that when I started watching Dexter, it took me the whole first season to stop thinking of him as gay. I had to remind myself, "oh, yeah. This character isn't gay." I wondered if he used the same 'outsider' vibe; whatever he did, he was wonderful in both roles. And I LOVED the way Ruth Fisher (Frances Conroy) reacted to the news that her husband had just died-- just threw that phone as far as possible. I also loved the way the dead would appear and talk to the living. Does anyone else do that? Have little conversations in your head with those who died? Of course, they don't actually appear to most of us, but aren't they every bit as real as we remember them? This show made me aware of how much of everyone's lives is impacted by our attitude toward death. The kind of decisions we make, the fact that, always in the background, we know we will have to confront it from time to time; first the death of those around us, then our own. So many obsess about it and don't even realize it. That, I think, is the biggest message I took away from it, anyway.

I loved 6 Feet Under more than ANY series I've ever watched. I worked for a mortuary right out of college, as an embalming assistant and the show was somewhat relatable..... I too worked for a family business, in the heyday, when a conglomerate called SCI, was taking over every mom and pop funeral home out there.... anyway, I too watched every week until the end.... it was kinda set in Bizarro World! I almost thought that the show was going to come back, when I saw the title to your video! It would be SO popular if it came out on Netflix.....a girl can dream, right? ❤

This show was television gold. One of the best shows I have ever seen. The ending was beautiful and makes me cry Everytime, even all these years later. It never got the recognition it deserved due to the loud obnoxious cousin The Sopranos. But for those of us that actually watched this gem, we all know how damn amazing it was. I adored this show….I watched it not long ago for the first time, because I am from Europe and Netflix brought it to me, it helped me a lot, calmed me in a inexplicable way and brought somehow of comfort because I watched it after my grandpa, my father in law and my dad’s passing ..too many and too soon…. and this show made me feel somehow understood and for that it will always have a special place in my heart. That season finale hit me so hard definitely makes you look at life differently and feel lay makes you appreciate life for what it is

Just read that HBO has green lighted development of a Six Feet Under “follow up”. Variety reports that creator Alan Ball, and both executive producers Bob Greenblatt and David Janollari have signed on to the project. This could be either a reboot or a sequel. There could be a feature length film as well.

Whenever I’ve been doing badly and need a good cry I go to this show. I’ll go thru the whole series just to get to that sweet finale. I don’t cry easy but... this show’s gets me every time.

I recently saw this house in a trailer for a new movie and instantly recognized it! I always liked how the house, and the characters, felt so anti-LA.

I did not watch it until the series was over either. It was the best series, and the series finale made me cry.

I bought the boxset when released and have watched the Christmas (Biker Funeral) most Christmases ever since, the bike ride on the Harley with Don't Fear the Reaper playing is one of my favourite scenes from the series.

This is the best HBO show ever made ..Not The sopranos , not the wire and definitely not GOT. I remember first watching this while I was early into high school I think it may have slightly impacted my develing mental health honestly .. maybe some drugs too Great show though 👏

Now that you live in California, you need to go film the Thomas W. Phillips Residence, which was used for the house in the 1991 movie The People Under the Stairs. I know it's in LA and close to University of Southern California campus. The opening breakfast scene of Rob Zombie's Halloween remake was shot in the actual kitchen of the house and Butterfly McQueen lived in the house at one point.

Great series. Then and now I guess it's a private residence. Huge place - must be worth a fortune. Oddly exposed on a busy street for such an expensive property. You'd think they'd have some kind of walls or shrubs to break the street noise. Must be a pain to own a place that attracts strangers all the time.

My family loved this show, we live in Seattle. We got invited to a season finale. I forget which one. I remember it started with Claire auditioning like Flashdance. But ya, Matthew St Patrick was there. They served wine, all you could drink lol. It was in a old church. Very fun memory.
