Poignant video, full of solid advice. In past i witnessed a house church movement go sour because of authoritarian leadership, inward focus and lack of outreach. To this day I am still taken back by how quickly people can claim to have spiritual gifts, and almost claim to have the corner on God, his will and be the only ones to understand Him and his word and try to manipulate situations and people. Thank you for good advice and warning.

Alternative model churches have most of the same challenges as regular churches, though the centralized facility/event issue is often mitigated. But people who want to be relatively big fish often look for small ponds.
