Still have my 2nd Gen from childhood, virtually mint. I was getting older when I got it and didn’t play as much with it. It survived in a shoe box all these years and now displays proudly on a shelf in my home. It has started a action collection frenzy as I have aged. Great post. Thanks for the memories.

Great video as usual. 6 Million Dollar Man is so iconic. It's odd how we haven't seen this property rebooted or remade in recent years. With the right story, and a little updating whoever owns the property could make a mint.

Six Million Dollar Man... my absolute favorite toy of all time...Evel Knievel with bike was my second. AND remember it was an ACTION FIGURE and NOT a DOLL !! 😃😃😃

Man, I really enjoyed watching this video! I never owned any of the Six Million Dollar Man figures when I was a kid, but my best friend (at the time) Khali, did. He owned Steve in his red track suit and he had the bionic transport/repair set. I always wanted all of, both the SMDM and Bionic Woman toys because I was (and still am) a huge fan of the franchise. Finally, after all of these years, at 48 years old, I finally purchased The SMDM, Jaime Somers and Oscar Goldman figures on eBay late last year. So happy to finally have them in my toy collection!

The Six million Dollar Man has been the most cursed in my opinion. Took forever/decades for the tv series to finally be released on dvd. And now it’s in the years of trying to make a new movie the six billion dollar man. Unreal. I will always love the six million dollar man tv series/movies and toys. Sure wish McFarlane or Neca would start making these figures again. Kenner was amazing and the sculpt of Lee Majors is amazing especially back almost 48 years ago today.

I had the Rocket/Lab set. It was a great toy to play with. Very high quality. Since it was about the same size of GI Joe, I sometimes "crossed universes" lol! Thank you for the review.

I had one. I remember sitting him on the washing machine and he fell off and it broke off his left foot. It also broke my 10 year old heart. That foot got glued on many times over the next few years.

Yes I had it as a kid and absolutely loved him. I even had Oscars office play set I bet that's worth some money now. Didn't keep any of it infact I don't remember owning any of it after about 81 or 2 just like every other kid in the world except the rare few we (parents really) threw them away in the bin 😢.

Wow. I never knew there were 2 different releases. I've still got Steve, Oscar Goldman & Maskatron. I'll have to dig them out & see what condition they're all in. I did have the operating table/rocket & backpack but lost those years ago.

I loved this video. I have fairly recently started collecting SMDM figures and so it had lots of useful information, thank you. I Had a Maskatron as a child but always wanted a Steve Austin in his red track suit. I am in the UK, and so I remember these in the Denys Fisher style closed boxes when I saw them on toy shop shelves back in the day. Once again thank you for such a great video on this subject. I look forward to more in the future.

I never had a Six Million Dollar man figure. My cousins always had everything and they had this figure. I don't know what version they had, but I remember looking through the back of the head to look out his eye. I didn't even recall his other features, probably because I didn't own the figure so I never got to check out the cybernetics in his arm.

I had the red track suit figure and the transport / repair centre. It was brilliant! I so desperately wanted the crystal radio set but never got it!

Nice report. Thanks. I have a foot and shoe from my Six Million Dollar Man figure bought in Truro UK Argos in 1978. The rest of him should be somewhere if I can find it.

I got mine for Christmas 1975. I was like looking at the figure like what the hell. It was in a pinkish red box, and I was kinda like, this is a wack toy. But seeing as I was a really big fan of the show, I rolled with it and got past the weird box color. I collected a few of the sealed boxes years ago, like Bionic Bigfoot and maskatron, bionic woman and Oscar too. All are now sold off except one that's been played with. Maybe I will buy a bionic Bigfoot again someday. They are nice to just look at.

I have a first edition six million dollar man. Like you said in your very informative video. The foreskin on the right arm is barely torn. Just barely exposing the bionic compartment on the forearm. I don’t dare to roll it up father. I have two bionic transport. Both in very good condition. Expect one is missing some parts. Interesting note on the transport. Some came with a clear dashboard bellow the window. Other came with a tinted one. Just an fyi. Thanks again. Foe a great video

I've got a 1st 2nd and 3rd edition Steve Austin figures, complete, but no box. Also a Mint Maskatron and Fembot with pretty beat up boxes. I also have Oscar Goldman and Jaime Summers figures but missing some stuff out of the briefcase and Mission purse, respectively.
@starchad19692 жыл бұрын
I just found a vintage figure that is missing his right arm, but has his track suit, shoes, and socks. I am tring to find a replacement arm and motor (I sold one a few years ago) to complete him. I had one of these as a kid so I have always wanted one to add tomy collection. Where is the best place to find these reasonably priced? On ebay I can buy the whole figure complete for what it costs just for these 2 parts. Any suggestions.

I had this ❤️
@TheHorndOne2 жыл бұрын
I had one of these. I used to drive my mother nuts ratcheting the bionic arm so many times, The skin was always the one item that wore out the quickest. This was due to the 'inexpensive' (cheap) elastic rubber used. Kenner rarely sent a replacement by request & SASE I remember that each of the shirt pockets could hold a Chicklet each, simulating the 'sensors' seen in the first TV movie.

I was 4 when I started getting Six Million Dollar Man toys in 76 and still getting them even when Star Wars was out I just finish cleaning them off using Dawn dish soup and glass cleaner for the clear plastics I took photo on some of my collection - imgur.com/a/WcZ1Xr5 And yes Im still trying to get the rest I missing like Jaime's red car and Steve's outfits. So far I have like 11 Steve Austin and 5 Maskatron figures alone but for the life of me every time I try getting any Oscar Goldman figures he always missing his pants... XD

There are FaceBook groups for the SMDM toys as well as fan groups, you can join them and ask around. If not then there is Ebay and you'll just have to be careful shopping there.

I wish I had my gifted bionic man doll, I do have a bionic woman doll. I don’t care about originality a remake, I’ll take. It’s only a plastic toy. These Bozo’s that spend hundreds of dollars for plastic? If it floats your boat, more power to ya. Now I’m on a mission to build my own 🤔
