Actually for Jews our holidays begin in the evening around sundown, so in the US it’s not Chanukah yet, it started already in Israel. So tonight is the first night of Chanukah and tomorrow Monday is the first day of Chanukah.

Ginnel is a hebrew letter. It is one of the sides of the dreidel. ON a Gimmel you would get the whole pay. Hay you would get half the pot. Nun you would get nothing. And shin (and pey in Israel) means you put money in the pot. The 4 letters stand for a phrase A Big miracle happened there (in Israel A Big Miracle happened here)

You've entered the great debate about the tzitzis. A lot of men keep it totally tucked in. Really depends on your community and your customs. The commandment itself is to put tzitzis on any 4 cornered garment. The reason people wear the strings out is to show that they're proud to be a Jew. Many years ago, in places where it was dangerous to be seen as a Jew, tzitzis were tucked under the shirt. That passed down to their descendants even though they were able to live like a Jew.
