The Sixers collapse in the last 30 seconds of Game 2 and lose to the Knicks. Nick Nurse and the Sixers tried to call multiple timeouts that the referees blatantly ignored. The Sixers hold some fault here as well as they constantly have an issue inbounding the ball and boxing out.

The BIGGEST reason the 76ers lost was the lack of boxing out on Hartenstein. Some of the worst effort you will ever see given the circumstances. Sign of a team that just doesn’t want it enough

Yup they were playing great up until then and then just decided to stop doing everything that was helping them win smh

I think the refs let the players decide…refs didn’t call the Maxey push off…or when they tripped Brunson in that play before he shot the catch and shoot 3 so to me they were fair in the sense of letting the players decide.. the lack of effort against a team that is known for effort is what has lost them 2 games gotta hold your team accountable…I like that you did that with the issue of them not calling timeout before the inbounds

I agree I blamed the refs and the players as well Maxey has to hold on to the ball he played for a foul

Look at every single inbound the knicks had. Sixers pushed, pulled, grabbed jerseys. On the last play of the game Maxey pushes Hart before the inbound pass blatantly. On Nurse timeouts, he never touches, he puts the hands almost together, when he thinks they've got the ball, he avoids calling the timeout, he only called when the ball was loose. You're analyzing with fan goggles.

The first Nurse timeout I agree he wasn’t committed but the 2nd one he absolutely calls timeout and I’m also not saying the Sixers aren’t to blame either

Need possession to call timeout you can't timeout when the ball is in the air or rolling on the floor. Lowry slaps the ball and DiVincenzo simultaneously foul called on the floor then overturned after Nurse challenges the call but when the calls go against y'all you want to complain about it make it make sense, take the loss and move on. And don't want to hear anything about Embiid being injured because it's a broken record at this point because if he's hurt then don't dress for the game

@@14thandmarket The refs didn’t stop Lowry from calling a timeout before inbounding the ball. The refs didn't stop him from missing free throws in the quarter. The refs didn’t stop Maxey from holding/cradling the ball and calling a timeout instead of trying to pass it. The refs didn’t stop the Sixers from getting the most important defensive rebound of the game. The refs didn’t stop the Sixers players - the same ones that seem disinterested in rebounding from covering a shooter on the three point line. The refs didn't stop the Sixers from getting the offensive put back after Maxey's layup was blocked. If the Sixers do any one of these 5 or 6 things and they win. They actually messed up all of these possible plays within the last minute. What did the Knicks do in the last minute - hit two three pointers, deny the entry pass, grab and offensive board, block a layup and grab the defensive board, hit two clutch free throws. The difference is execution of plays.
