Sixth grade teacher weeps opening unexpected gift from Secret Santa

The EastIdahoNews.com team is busy helping a local Secret Santa give $1 million to deserving people in eastern Idaho this holiday season. Every day, from now until Christmas, we will post videos of the recipients being surprised with these life-changing gifts.
Jen is a sixth grade teacher and shares custody of her three kids with her ex-husband.
In September, her oldest child Brylee was admitted into EIRMC for pneumonia. Over the next few days, her symptoms became worse and her kidneys started to have issues. She was flown to Primary Children's Hospital in Salt Lake where doctors determined she had a form of Vasculitis called GPA.
Jen had to take a leave of absence from her teaching job and stay with Brylee in Utah. Brylee has been in and out of the hospital and had a few procedures and surgeries. It's a long road to recovery and Jen is working to figure out what's next after taking a leave of absence from her job.
Secret Santa asked the East Idaho News elves if we could pay Jen a visit to drop off some early Christmas gifts. She was tough to catch but once we did, it was a pleasure meeting her. Check out the surprise in the video player above!

You can see how much the older boy is so pleased and caring for his mother. I do not think the younger brother is neglected at all, just that the older boy understands the magnitude of the gift.

Wow, her oldest son impressed me when he so genuinely thanked the woman who gave him a ride home and further impressed me by keeping a secret, making sure mom looked good on camera, and then gazing at her lovingly as he gently offered her support and kind affirming words, what a gem of a human being, way to go Jen, you are raising him right!! Also Nate and crew, as well as Secret Santa you guys make my holiday season every year, I am such a huge fan, thanks for making this world a little brighter!

I know that look. The way he looks up at his mom and just observing her while she's so happy, you can see that it makes him happy too, not the gift itself, but he's happy that his mom is so incredibly happy. i love that.

I just love every year when people from all over the world watch the videos too. Along with the blessings from Secret Santa, it makes it seem like the world is just a little bit better than what it has been! These videos bring a blessing also to the viewers from all over, because I for one feel blessed to watch them each year. I'm crying a river of happy tears for this family. Thank goodness some of the financial load is lifted, so the focus is on healing a sick child. Secret Santa, just WOW!! To use your good fortune to help those in need is beyond tremendous! The heart and thought put into every special recipient's gifts is a credit to you. Every year I watch these videos, from afar. The relief from stress in the mom's face when she realized just exactly what she was given was so wonderful!! Her oldest son is definitely tuned into her and working hard at being the man of the family. This one had me bawling. My husband has been donating plasma just so that we can pay bills. Well, he got sick and now he's been unable to donate. My 5 beautiful blessings (my children) look at me with the same love that that young man looked at his mother with. The stress and fear a parent goes through when their child is sick, added to the fear of paying the bills and buying groceries can't be matched. The relief on her face when she realized that her rent was covered and she didn't have to worry about being homeless was everything.

Blue shirt boy was a little taken aback in his first appearance. But…..three days later he was a shining beacon. When he told the crew “Merry Christmas”, the measure of the boy showed clearly and strongly. Well done young man!!
