Remember schalken vs hewitt at Wimbledon 2002 quarter finals, he was very close to winning that match, remember his statue like serve 😃

Hewitt got tight. Could have led to a very unexpected champion.but schalken in the end couldn't quite seal the comeback

Awesome player! He showed that you don’t need a great serve to be a top level pro. Great groundstrokes, movement, and tenacity can do it!

To watch this guy firing on all cylinders was pure bliss. His fluent laser like shots were pure ASMR. Especially bh. Similar to Petr Korda, but Schalken was better at the net.

nice to call him 'the Dutch legend'. Very solid, but scared to fail. Pity, because he could have won more with more courage in his personality. Imo.

Slam quarters and a uso semi are decent His serve was too predictable and lightweight for a big guy. He usually lost to better players in the biggest matches but still won a good clutch of titles

het enigste wat hem weghield van de grote prijzen was zijn zwakke lichaam> zwakke service. Je moet niet vergeten als je geen krachtige service bezit je non stop onder druk staat en zelfs tegen lagere ranked spelers daardoor onder druk kan komen te staan kan 1 fout je al de set kosten.
