Just got this phone and i have this headset icon and it doesn't want to go away, no headset connected no nothing, and since the phone thinks i've got a headset connected there is no sound coming from the phone and the microphone doesn't work either, help please

I'm surprised that Spotify hasn't collaborated with a smartphone maker to launch specialist music phone. All it'd need is like a free subscription to premium Spotify, large onboard memory, good sound features, a couple of dedicated physical music buttons on the side (on the opposite side of volume) and a set of premium wireless earbuds or headphones. There you go phone makers - an awesome concept for a phone that is easy to create and something that the market wants that some random guy came up with in 5 minutes while your specialized teams that you spend millions on will just have your next phone as a slight uograde on your current model.

I bought it a few days ago. It's secondhand, but I think It's still better than any smartphone.

My main phone even today. Excellent phone. Also has a great FM radio receiver.

I still have it ! 2 of them .one brand new ! I have smartphones ...but sony Ericsson is my 😍 ! For music is still incredible ! Plus no annoying adds from Google !

In terms of design, the phone wins over most hands down. The camera is much much better than most mid range smartphones today in 2014. The camera can pick up many natural subtleties in light and tone. One could buy the Sony MPS 70 speakers for almost next to nothing; turning the phone into a mini desktop radio. The music player is also quite the dogs balls.

Hi all - I own several of these phones - they will survive being run over by a tank. other than the one I bought in England back in 2010. To get one from China, just go on ebay and find one. Now, there is the chance that some maybe refurbished, but in fact, I would be happy with this, too. You can get them in black, silver and red (and there was even a pink model). Honestly, the BEST phone ever. I am stockpiling them so that I can be using them 40 years from now, when I am 90!

I still got mine in 2014 and don't wanna throw it out.Luckily my mate has just declared he needs a phone so I think I may have found a good home for it :)

It works great with Blue-Tooth Speaker from DBPower BX-100 (music playback with Blue-Tooth wirelessly). Newer phones from Nokia 206 Dual-SIM somehow don't work with the speaker (until now). I recommand everybody to buy a Blue-Tooth Speaker. It cost less than 28 EUR on amazon. Only problem is that the music-player has not the function REPEAT ONE. Only repeat all and random.

i had this phone for years as a teen it had all my memories bro. one day I had a pop up on my screen and it said the memory card was corrupt. I tried to restore it my PC but the weird thing is, random photos where on it of people I did not know, can anyone explain

Bro this was awesome back in 2009 but in 2023 we have smartphones that do everything this phone does a lot better. And also does a lot more. And I'm not a hater - I loved my walkman phones. But check out my idea in my other comment.

Hello everybody. I come from the future. And I bring bad news. Phones of the future are now called "smart... phones". You will loose wall chargers, headphones even the 3.5 mm jack to use any kind of headphones. Companies will be preoccupied with trying to outdo Apple and follow their bad practices. You will either have to spend big amounts of money to buy a premium phone or be forced to make due with the cheaper ones filled with bloatware. Compared to them - W995 feels like a product from alternate universe. You have been warned.

Made with style. Look at today's nokia models, C1-01 C2, Asha... they should be banned. Nokia phones, newer models are so badly engineered. With Sony ericsson it's about camera quality, sound quality, beautiful designed, style. As for the head set? play/pause, rew, ffwd, buttons on the cord. Not like these stupid jack headsets.
