I have a JJRC X11 which I like but this is like an X11 brought up to 2023 technical standards ie better stability, software, camera, GPS etc etc. If you are happy with a drone over 250gm, this sounds an excellent buy.

Well done Captain!!! (on 2 x fronts!) there is arguably no other Drone reviewer that continues to evaluate new releases (and hopefully a retrospective, lets say, a Spark!!! ;sorry, had to put that in!!!) regardless of the weather and time of year, plus, we are all looking at the latest upgrades to the budget drones and you thankfully, provide these; the video ("warm version"!!) actually looked quite good on the SJRC...................

I got my first SJRC F 11, on your say so. Tiny little camera, adjusted with your finger, the next model had a bigger camera wheel tilt. Which I stripped the cogs trying to adjust with the finger. Replaced the part costless thank dollar for two. The last one has a gimbal camera. I still have them and a white one too.

Pretty cool drone. I've not been flying in a year or so but this is making me start thinking about getting back into it. I think I like this better than the Bugs 16 which I was really liking when it came out and this is cheaper!

This is the first comparable priced drone that I've seen that is actually competitive with the Mini SE. The camera looks great and it seems like the extra features work fairly well.

The C-FLY Faith 2S is better than the F22s, in almost every way, except it doesn't have obstacle avoidance. The Faith 2s has a much better range of over 4 miles also.

@@sagemajka4871 I'm brand new to drones, but I went with the F22 because it said it had 2.4G for the remote whereas the C-FLY 2 said it had 5G...and I have an older phone with 2.4G. I'm hoping I didn't misunderstand something...because now I've been reading some reviews saying they had trouble connecting their Samsung phone. :/

seeing its a budget drone, it is still pretty amazing that it comes with just about every feature. You need a heated jacket. They work pretty damn good. I got the ororo, it definitely helps. Heated gloves are nice too.

wow i had F11 before sold it last year. Pretty decent camera Sjrc put in, I really like the image color. Now F22s continued the legacy with so much improvements. Best budget drone i would say

Ps remember this tip you gave us. To stop camera shake, wedge a small piece of soft sponge between camera and body. It worked.

@@LafinDaily I think it only would work on 2 axis gimbals (like this one) A 3 axis gimbal would turn around, and have no space for the sponge.

Yes. This drone is awesome. It would be nice if they adjust the colors because since F11 the images and video have a little purple or bluish tone. Very light but that is one of the things I would upgrade as sjrc for the next gen. Great videos Man !

I think you might have swapped the battery reading when you said it still had 66% left...that was for the transmitter, the drone battery level was in the red in that same shot. Other than that, another great vid, thanks for braving the cold to shoot it!

I was extremely impressed with your demo and the review......very clear and detailed......it impressed me so much I just went and ordered one, I've always wanted one and a year ago I bought a cheepie (no camera) but it was so unstable it stayed in my study not even a good one for flying experience........the price for all the features was relatively inexpensive at A$450 with 2 batteries.......I was very impressed by the 4K photo quality, and it will open up a whole vista of opportunities to get pictures of the local scene from way up high.........the range and flight time was very impressive too.......now I'll be able to track my cats when they disappear on their morning stroll......if this is considered a budget drone I wonder what a semiprofessional one performs like and the price etc.

The F22s is a Re-branded Holy Stone HS600 with Obstacle Avoidance. The HS600 has landing lights, the design is identical, and the batteries are fully compatible. The controllers are different. The F22s controller looks more in comparison with the DJI Mini 2. I have a Fimi X8 SE 2020, DJI Mini 2, HS600, and the F22s. The F22s comes a close third in that line up.

Hi Captain , we don't see any difference despite the shaking on the Camera, it looks really good still , nice one Captain my only thing with these Drones , the price has to be considerably different than what you can get a Mini-2, SE or Mavic Mini for , I personally would buy one of these but it would be hard to pay anything close to the price of the above products I mentioned , that's all . Maybe you can do an update on this drone. Since the new firmware 3.2.6 you can disable the OA in every flying mode. This comes in handy when you are in open area's and short to the ground. The OA wobbling when the drone tilts forward when flying at low altitudes is gone. With this new OA disable option, this budget entry drone, with all the fancy features that you only find on the big brand top models, is the best bang for the buck in my opinion.

Does the OA work on RTH? The only time I’ve needed it is when the drone is somewhere at the RTH kicked in automatically (signal loss or low battery). This is when it might fly into a tree. My DJI mini 2 will climb to an altitude, but when it’s close it doesn’t. So it might just fly into a tree. So I’m interested I the drone knowing it can’t move forward and tell me to intervene. Does it work like this on this drone?

Captain, your still sporting an iPhone 11 Pro Max, you simply must upgrade to the 14 pro max, 2000 nit screen in the bright sunlight, it is amazing with an anti glare screen protector when you use it to fly a drone. It was worth it to me and I own 2 drones, I know you would love it! Also, I traded in my really good condition iPhone 11 Pro Max and AT&T gave me 1000 dollar credit for trading it in. I’m sure your carrier does something similar. Made the 14 a couple hundred dollars out of pocket. Maybe you are interested , if not disregard. First class review as always, budget drones are moving up the quality ladder it seems. I’m saving myself for a mavic 3 currently, lol, I thought about the classic, I don’t think I can live without the better camera that I could probably never use properly. Just one of those things.

Hey since this drone is an upgraded f11s does this drone still have the gimbal tilt issue like on the f11s you reviewed? And what drone do you prefer buying a used spark or this they have similar prices in my country

I just ordered this on 4/20 from RC, and so started it's long trek to me from China. I'm going from a contixo f35 to this and very much looking forward to the obstacle avoidance and range. F35 wasn't a terrible drone for my first real, decent drone. It has a decent camera and interface but with no obstacle avoidance and dumb, rookie pilot moves, it took a beating. My whole motive for going this route instead of investing out the gate with a dji mini is because I need to confidence and time to feel that my 1k dollar bills investment isn't pissed away in the first week with me pushing it. This SJRC has a good enough camera by spec, to potentially use for some extra cream back in my pocket. I'm hoping that the performance plays out and on par with it's written specs. There's really not many other reviews on this drone yet. Quite a few from East Asia but it's hard for me to follow. So, fingers crossed I get it soon enough and that it's user interface and app feel and act like a step up from what I had. If it meets that I'm going to be happy and will put in enough time to feel like bumping up to the next dji mini level, is a worthwhile endeavor. At 41, I'd love to figure out how to turn a hobby I truly enjoy, into a potential bonus income stream from time to time.

@@gregbrady8454 i did. I've been pretty impressed honestly. The OA isn't spectacular but it works beyond that I've been incredibly impressed with battery, range, and camera quality. Sure, your not getting that dji camera but your also not paying for it. I've got no complaints thus far and will continue putting this thing through the ringer especially over this up coming weekend.

Image follow works on the F22S, it's not like GPS follow though, the drone remains at the location you set and turns to track the subject. It's important that the box drawn does not include a lot of background like in this video, and if you walk away too far it will lose you if you get too small for the camera to recognise. This is a great drone, people criticise the folding legs (this video they aren't always down) but it's such a non-issue - who is landing sideways that hard? My only two criticisms would be that the video is over-sharpened and that there is no way to adjust this, and that there is no way to descend rapidly even in sport mode. Flying though; flawless - even with wind the special flight modes, spiral etc are all executed well.
