For this ocarina, we used ordinary red clay, which we can buy in our Latvian ceramic shop or order. Firing temperature ~900"C-1000''C. Good Luck!

Hello.'-) When we started making clay tools, about 15 years ago, we had similar problems. The main thing is that the clay must be dry enough to create a geometrically accurate wind channel directed exactly at the sharpened edge of the whistle.
