As a witness to the golden age of KZfaq when Scatman memes were everywhere, this is one of the most beautiful things I have ever seen and heard!

These two songs have no business fitting together so well. Somehow, the aggression and insanity of [BIG SHOT] is replaced with the joy and excitement of Scatman's World, but the tinge of tragedy that surrounds Spamton still feels extremely present. It feels kind of appropriate, given how Scatman John only made 3 albums before his career was cut short by cancer. He released his last album about half a year before he died, and this mashup almost makes me think of him refusing to let cancer take away his music and passion, his freedom, which adds a tragic beauty to his proclamation "I'm the Scatman!". That sort of fits with the meaning of Scatman's World, living an optimistic life of love and passion even though the world can be difficult and cruel, sometimes even without human intervention, along with trueness to oneself. Those themes combined with the freedom motif hit me really hard, especially with the hopelessness inherent to it everytime it's used in Deltarune. There's just something very beautiful to the human spirit striving against things it can't hope to stop, like fate and death.

For some strange reason, this remix brings a feeling of... closure..? I'm not sure how to explain it. The feeling is strongest at "I'm calling out from Scatland! I'm calling out from Scatman's world!" It feels really nice, a weight lifted from my shoulders? Again, I'm not sure, but I love this remix!

Been a huge fan of SJ's music since hearing his music in SM64 Bloopers videos at 9 years old, and every once in a while I come across a great remix or mashup of a Scatman song mixed with something else. This has got to be one of the most amazing things I've listened to in a while, and I've had it on repeat a LOT. Spamton's theme and Scatman's World were already amazing songs on their own, but you really knew what you were doing when mixing these together, very well done.

Wow, this went together so well, & the edits to the battle sprites & audio really tied it all together entertainingly! 😄 Funny on the surface, but also deep & a bit sad, like Spamton himself. The longing for a better world comes through both the lyrics & the music, as if both cases of it (Big Shot & Scatman's World) amplify one another when combined. 🥲 Also extra fitting for Spamton, because his speech is glitchy & impeded... & Scatman John himself spoke with a stutter. But he was able to harness it & it amplified his ability to sing in old-school rapid-fire scat style. He turned his speech impediment into a superpower! He was really inspirational. It's a real shame that his life was cut short... 😔 But yeah, it also reminds me of how Spamton tried so hard in life, came close to finally transcending the forces holding him back... But his own efforts were cut short too. 😥 Fantastic creation here. Many layers of enjoyment, & even deep thoughts to be had amid the humor & entertainment.
