Skagen Denmark Walking Tour & Cruise Port Terminal, Shuttle Bus Info

See what we did in Skagen, Denmark! We were there in late July 2023 as part of a Norway/Denmark cruise on the Holland America Statendam.
See what we did from our DIY excursion/walking tour to explore this charming costal town. We also had a chance to try out some local Danish street food in the form of red hot dogs.
The tour starts at the Skagen Cruise Port, where there was free shuttle bus that transfers cruise ship guests to the downtown area.

I have a good friend from Denmark. I’m considering taking my son there to visit in a couple of years. This was fun to tag along with. Been a fan for a month now but first time commenting. I love your very detailed food coverage.

I love all your food reviews, but this was a real good highlights of Skagen. You really make me want to expand outside of the common Caribbean cruises I take. Hope to see you on a cruise one day.

We were on the same cruise! Had a fantastic time on HAL. Our first cruise on HAL and our first one since the pandemic. Surprised we didn’t run into you. Amazing how they can literally “park” that ship (the Nieuw Statendam) at a quay using the azipod thrusters and 360 degree rotating main propeller units. Really enjoyed Skagen and walked the town ourselves. That wind was fierce! 😊

Yeah it was amazing how the ship was able to dock in Skagen with such strong winds, and then stay moored. Hope you had a great cruise as well! North Cape was a very interesting experience for sure. We'll have a lot more from this cruise. Thank you very much for the comment! 😊

Very nice video. Northern Europe is on our bucket list. For those wondering how much the hot dogs cost.. 1 Danish Krone = 14 cents US. So a 35 Krone hot dog costs about $5.00 US. Looks like a good deal! The hot dogs looked delicious. And now I want one! 🤣

Northern Europe is so scenic- especially Norway. Definitely worth visiting! Yeah those were some meaty hot dogs for the price- not bad at all and really tasty! Thanks Sally for the comment! 😊

Our pleasure- thanks for the comment! We enjoyed our time in Skagen. Lots of charm and I'm sure the beaches are very nice when the wind isn't as strong.

@@TravelTouristVideos but.... Did you even walk to grenen? Thats my #1 rule when ppl visiting Skagen.... Walking there is important 🙃 Its the top of Denmark.... and you have west and east sea on each leg xd

Yes we tried to get to the top there, but we couldn't even reach the gray lighthouse because the wind was super strong!

It was very tough if you're going against the wind- the sand would blow into our faces! Is it typically very windy in Skagen?

Thank you for the information. Insightful. We taking a cruise next year calling at this port. Helpful information. How was the sea? Rough or easy? Our first time in that part of the world.

You're welcome- glad it was helpful! The waves can get quite strong there, but on the ship we didn't feel it that much.

Nice! 🙂 Yeah seems like there are new construction going on in Skagen. At the shuttle bus drop off/pickup area it says there is some new buildings coming as well.
