The devices are barcode battlers in which you scan various barcodes and collect monsters, items, and get into battles with other tribes. These devices also could be link allowing players to battle against other Skannerz.

I remember one kid had it at school when I was 10. We knew one of our teacher had barcode tattoo in his lower back but obviously he didn't let us scan it. That put some rumours he had some crazy monster out there :D

I played it untill the healing bar code was ruined. Then my mom contacted the company and they sent another magazine and my mom copied the code 8 times on a paper and then copied the papers so I had like 40 of the healing bar codes :D

i remember that any radica product barcode could be used to heal but because i knew about finding cheats for n64 games i found a barcode online and printed as many of it on a page as i could lol

@notoriouscasual3333 dude, I remember my pain-in-the-arse lost my health barcode. I thought I couldn't play no longer, so my Skannerz sat thereafter for an eternity. I wish I had used my head back then. I'm jealy lol

The little blip after you scan doesnt mean nothing it means you have to keep scanning it

Yeah a couple people have said that to me, but I wasn't sure since I read that is means there was nothing in that barcode. I wanna do a video on one of the Orbz Skanners which I guess that the models after this one. Thanks for the comment bud!

@@TheNerdLair I remember scanning the bar codes numerous times repeatedly and getting a monster eventually. This was especially the case with old VHS tape sleeves and clamshells.

@@MusicOfAdam oh cool yeah I thought I read in the instructions that if you didn't get one it meant there wasn't a monster there. Or I would get a monster that wasn't compatible with my skanner

I remember i had the skannerz commander and i remember scanning stuff nonstop and barely getting any monsters but when one did pop up i used to get so hype haha

@@TheNerdLair so true! I think it was last year they came out with new tamagatchis and i bought a couple of them, i miss when toys were cool, kids will never experience what we did back then, all of them are glued to an ipad nowadays:/

Back in the day both me and my sibling had issues scanning within the return window. Not even the barcodes in the manual would scan, even after a reset. Was fun for ~3 weeks though.

I want another one. You could battle other monsters from barcodes. It would come up as a “battle” when you did a scan. In the instructions I’m pretty sure that unless the vital signs on the scan had 0 pulses you could keep trying to scan the barcode to hope something appears

That little beep means a bad scan. You get 3 chances. Also you gotta pan to see the whole monster. This was my favorite toy for a while as a kid

I heard they should have tried to balance the system more, so getting a successful scan would be fairly more common, whether it was a monster or an item. This product is pretty much a prototype of "Pokemon Go" or whatever it's called (veiw through smartphones built in camera show pokemon in ACTUAL reality; catching them; etc.)

I remember loving this thing as a kid. It ended up working on my dog's hair sometimes, with it even being a success in catching a monster once xD I never knew the incompatible part meant that it was for a different tribe, I always assumed it was like, getting a monster without all the pieces and you needed to try again, lol

I remember having one of these as a kid in a toy box and it would randomly make sounds in the middle of the night scaring the shit out of me. I was red gang and my older brother had a green I think.

I found my two skannerz devices today while putting stuff in our backyard storage shade along with some other stuff I've been looking for like my guitar hero belt clip R-Zone Star Wars game play cartridge sega genesis SplatterHouse 3 game my portable intec tv screen now I can play my ps2&ps3&ps4 hopefully in my car or anywhere there's a plugin. 😊

The Nerd Lair I was looking for a app for that because my cousin got one of those when I was like 15 years old and he was only like 9 years old when we was scanning foods at his kitchen it was a really cool thing to have but I wonder if they have a Facebook page for that if they do I would be asking them for a app for it

The Nerd Lair hey if you go to unity3d.com download it on your computer you can make one and upload it to apple Store and play Store you can also make it on cry engine and unreal engine you can make good money for it also it’s a video game code scanner so I can see why not have one for in app

(the little bloop after scanning a code only means that you didn't scan it properly... You should just keep on scanning it, since every single possible barcode will contain something.

Do you remember those cube things that had a little stick figure inside it that did stuff and you could connect more cubes together and they stick figures would interact with each other? Radica made those as well. Also thanks for the comment! Plz share and sub it would really help me out ♥️

@@TheNerdLair I just looked it up, I dont think thats it. The one I'm remembering had a wrist strap, and a strap for your finger. It had the same menu and everything. The scanner was on the finger device thingy. Thanks for looking though!
