this is basically flawless. Most experienced skaters in the parks I visit would say stuff like "become one with board" or "become one with the flow" but what they really mean is basically what's said in this vid. This is so simple yet so practical, cheers for that!

I also found that twisting and opening your shoulders slightly on the way down helps a lot.

When learning to ride in a ramp it was also important to me to look where I am going. Rolling backwards and still looking forward and I would immediately fall. Love your videos Jason!!

Hey man! After getting back on a board in almost 15 years, your tutorials have been incredibly helpful. I was wondering if you could possibly do one on popping out of a Nose Stall on a ledge (not just riding out, but actually popping off the ledge.) I literally can’t find any info on it. Thanks so much!
@RegularJason3 жыл бұрын
What's up! Sweet, good move to pick up the board again! Currently, I can only "pop" out of a tail stall (can't nollie out of a nose stall). I say "pop" in quotes because the pop out isn't very high -- yet 😅. When I do get them better, the "tail/nose stall pop out" will be on my TODO list. I suppose we're both going to have to learn this!

Best tutorial there is. When learning something I learn best if I’m told WHY I have to do something a certain way. So I can actually understand the “problem”

one thing I got told is to just shift your weight onto your back foot instead of your front foot. same goes for leaning too. after learning that, i was able to do it perfectly.

First off, thank you for your tutorials. They are really very helpful! I’m having trouble staying in the ramp after dropping in. My skateboard ends up going onto the deck. How do you stay in to continue pumping? I appreciate any advice or suggestions. Thank You!

I just found your channel and i find the videos to be especially helpful and clear to beginners like myself. I was wondering if you could do a tutorial on how to ollie or kick turning while on a ramp/half pipe? I’m having trouble with both :/ i subconsciously was able to the the kickturn once but since then i haven’t got it, but keep up the good work bro !
@RegularJason3 жыл бұрын
Whats up! I'm stoked that you're finding the videos helpful! I actually just dropped an ollie tutorial today!! Hope you find it useful, and feel free to leave questions on the video and I can try to follow up :) And definitely, I'll put "how to kickturn on a ramp" on my to-do list for next time I skate the ramps. I appreciate the support, and skate on!

Learning how to drop in which do you prefer or which is better the loose trucks or tight
@RegularJason8 ай бұрын
If you've been learning to push and do tricks with a certain truck setting, I'd leave them as-is for learning drop ins / transition. I'm thinking you're most comfortable with that tightness setting, so you know how your board will respond

Skate faster not slower . Every thing in skateboarding is counter intuitive. Faster you go more control better balance and stability similar to riding a bike . Slower you go less balance and more top heavier causes you to fall . More slams are from bails , then sticking with the trick even if you do slam , outcome is better than getting scared or checking your landing . Gotta let go of fear and trust gravity
