It’s how they’re doing medals during covid to limit contact. Same reason they didn’t hand out flowers. I think they may have done this for some of their smaller events as well, though I may be misremembering.

@@ReenieOnIce they should design/engineer a medal presenting robot, to be employed from here on. It can do a fist bump with the medalists. I think it is a cute idea. Or it can be much more than just cute.

@@wip1664 no, they should just have people hand them the flowers. All of them have been tested prior to competition, so that's not a concern. Furthermore they're wearing masks. Maybe we should just stop living in so much fear 🤷🏼‍♀️

@@the_piano_diva I like the ice skating robot idea. It would be designed and engineered by people. Fist bump is foreboding in a good way. Flowers can be delivered by robot and picked up by the medalists. But the robot will offer the 🥇🥈🥉.

I have been Mozart fan nearly since I was a child and I'm professional musician. I should consider this music as a profanation. But nothing like that. I really like how Nathan modernized this sport, not only with the music but even with clothes. Perhaps the best thing is that he has raised the bar so much. :)
