@@tr3yy yes, because it’s a million times bigger, more expensive and more ambitious. As always with any R* game. But it’s just a coincidence if GTA 6 comes before Skate. Doesn’t matter. I’m pretty sure(I hope) they follow in classic R* spirit and finish the game before they release it. (Not counting beta etc)

Been following eagerly but causally. Don’t feel the progress is by any means substantial. Not a game developer here but I guess to me, the edits are getting old and the process feels stagnant. Not here to b!tch, high hopes for the game and not thrilled with the timeline, f2p, micros and trying not to just lose faith.

The worst thing y'all (the commenters) can do is to tell them to "hurry up." We've all seen how most recent AAA releases have turned out. Keep conducting these playtests. Keep iterating. We've waited 14 years since Skate 3. What's another 2 or 3 years at this point? I just want a good, COMPLETE Skate game at launch.

They took the direction of sharing very early builds with the community in an effort to include fans and keep us updated along the way. Modern games take many years to build. It's not a 2D platformer. Patience my friend.

@@vascoyz800 The average game takes around 4-5 years to make regardless of platform, but I feel you. They announced the game in 2020, they got a team together in 2021. That gives this game until 2025-2026 to drop if they are on the right track.

this isn't the main development branch! it's a playtest branch of the game which is months old and probably isn't on the same level with the development branch. (fun fact you can see unfinished environments in skate 1's trailers from less than a year before release)

All the comments about the graphics make me laugh. I appreciate EA giving us an early look at the game, even though the visuals are not fully implemented yet. Most companies hesitate to show their games at this early stage because they're not polished enough, but we get a sneak peek at the gameplay before the game is beautified.

because playtest builds are NOT on the same branch as development builds, so the dev builds are probably far further along. playtest builds are months old for stability reasons and are meant to test specific features, not the whole branch.

as much as we love the transparency of "we're working on it." and no need for a release date... the game skate. is becoming might as well just launch in early access sooner than later. it clearly is not a sequel to the full-priced games we loved with a story and missions. it's a free to play online always game that's going to evolve over time. i say just give us all access as soon as possible or surprise us with an announcement that it will still have a single-player campaign mode

@@jade8245lol session is 10x better than anything Ea Skate, or Skater XL could ever make. Only game that competes is fakeskate.. and even that can flop
