I got so discouraged as a kid because the people who lives in my area were really mean and not welcoming at all. I was always afraid to skate around them, but would go out alone a lot because I liked it and the culture around it. Now I know that falling down and failing is just a part of the whole process. There wasn't things like youtube where I could see other people learning and get tips or anything. So if anyone out there reads this and wants to get into something like skateboarding, making music, or anything.... just do it because you like it and get used to being bad at it because thats the only way you get good is to make a bunch of mistakes. You gotta get over the fear of failure and push through it, and just get a little better every day.

Heeeey!!! You loosened your trucks! Good for you! Just make sure it's a nice balance for you. Whatever feels good for you is best. Not too loose not too tight either. God Bless you on journey, I love this series!

Having fun and wearing pads right on! That outdoor spot under the bridge looks like it'd be suuuuper fun cleaned up, cool find! I tried an indoor skatepark for the first time last month and agree that they are very slippery! I've been skating for a year, pretty comfortable in bowls (outside) now but I still fell down a lot until I got used to it.

Yes!! This is what I’ve been waiting on! I’m So glad to see you stuck with it an your conquering new elements haha you came a long way from skating by yourself now your at the skatepark with other people! Don’t let the skill level of others in the park discourage you…you’ll get there eventually, use it as motivation And one day you could do the same for someone else that’s just the beginning! Also hype to see you took my advice on the knee pads haha. Can’t wait for the next progress report!

another nice video :) my tip for jump/ollie: I think of it like jump off the board but tap your back foot on the tail as you do. You could try to stand front foot off the boad, jump and tap the back foot to pop the board up, it might help with the timing. With the front foot try to scrape up to the nose up and out in a quarter circle motion. I like to think of it as getting the top of my foot in contact with the board, then move up and round until the bottom is in contact. It's hard to do. I used to visualise the shape of the move in my mind. You're making good progress and you guys helping eachother will make you learn faster :)

balancing is alot easier when you get your shoulders involved IME. keep working at balancing /footing / just riding around on a cruise / drops off small curbs, til you got all that down the rest comes fast

You’re doing great, it would be awesome if you could support your community getting some of your skate stuff at your local skate shop, it makes a difference for small shops, believe me!

No disrespect, the ollie attempts are adorable. It's all in your back foot to get the pop, and doing it on that rubber cork is actually harder than concrete. It's about speed and timing, and rubber has too much bounce time. You'll get it. Doing really well.
@9usuck02 ай бұрын
You have to lead with your shoulders. Everything they do, your board will do. So if you point them to turn you'll turn.

Hey, nice video, next time when you try to jump (Ollie) put your back foot more towards the tip of your tail and snap it hard with your ankle joint. Then just get the timing right with your front foot and there you're go. Keep on shreedin!

I'm glad to see a followup to this on my feed, it's nice to see you making progress and having fun with it. I hope you'll keep it up! ps: whoa that abandoned park looks amazing, I second the comments suggesting to give it a quick sweepin' although then you may find it less abandoned next time hahah

Shreddin! That is such a nice riverside walkway to skate... When you do kickturns, you should be leaning the board slightly toeside for backside turns and heelside for frontside turns. It lets you counter the centrifugal force. Oh and ollies, even through you aren't going all out at it yet, you should still put the feet in the proper ollie position(google for a good image) so your body gets used to it. Foot position is a very important key to many tricks in skateboarding. Even when you ride around, for example, you have too much of your heel off the board on the front foot. Makes it hard to lean toeside.

Take a small brush to the bowl next time. There can be glass as well as stones! Also turn your front foot to 90°. You will feel much more balance. Like I tell my son your not doing ballet, your skating 🤪

Once you get to speed wobbles speeds, put the weight on your forward foot. It'll speed wobble more if you put it on your back foot

Might be too loose. Adjust the trucks until it feels comfortable for you. I like mine tight, less wobbles and wheelbite.

thoughs trucks look mighty tight friend. for starting out it might be easier to have them kinda tighter than that, you want get speed wobbles as bad and it will make learning trickers easier. just dont blow out the bushings. lots of pros suggest to tighten them maybe 1/4 a turn each new day of skating. you'll eventually find out what you like best

@@verenchang I miss spelled a lot of stuff in that message I’m sorry, I meant to say won’t get speed wobbles when they are tighter lol. But anyway, ya just tighten little by little till you like it. Some people leave the front truck looser than the back, I personally like that myself but everyone is different
