A bad ass rocker dude with a leather jacket carrying a boom box playing death metal used to Cruz that board on my streets in 87 ish.. I was 9 and it was the stuff dreams were made of.. Thanks for sharing

I own one, natural clear wood colour. In 2019 I gave new life to my board changing some components but kept original Bullet 66 95A yellow Speed Wheels Santa Cruz. Each Scar on the wood has a story to tell. I bought this Alva in London on August 1988 and I'll never sell this board ❤

I had those G&S trucks in green on a G&S Ken Fillion (a black and white close up of his face). I liked those trucks.

The Circle A, D.I deck from around ‘88 had a similar mega tail, a real Ollie machine, built for street survival.

This was my very first pro deck. My brother gave it to me after he upgraded to a McGill. Strangely enough, my brother's first name was Johnny

My first propper deck, it felt like stepping onto a fkn magic carpet. It can still feel it, just by watching this vid.

I had one of those Danforth boards but I must have had a different variant. It was green, black and red and I distinctly remember it having a tri-tail and a deep spoon nose. Awesome memories!!! Groovy video!

Do some hissing grinds those trucks were crazy but broke pretty quick with the plastic ends

I never skated G&S trucks. The rails are nice. I liked Vision rails they were chunky and nicely rounded. I like to curve my rails a bit to mirror the curve of the deck. Cool board, dude.

@@hanskloss1331 That's awesome. My dad helped me make my first launch ramp. In the late 80s launch ramps were a huge part of skating for us. We didn't have any half-pipes. What did your dad make the rails from?

@@angrytater2456 we lived on a farm so there was always "junk" around and extra used parts for our machinery I believe he used UHMW plastic (ultra high molecular weight) which is basically what most rails now are made of mine were white because that's what he had he also made me a small kicker ramp that I set up in the shop it had a concrete floor and was heated so I could skate in the winter (late 70s early 80s N E Kansas) 👍

How much is that board worth?.....I have a similar one/similar colors but it also has a small Vision logo painted on the top right side as if it was a collaboration between Alva & vision.....I'm kicking myself because I cracked the deck (not completely in 2) but it's split around the rear truck. I'm wondering how much it'd be worth as a wall hanger. It's in rough shape but the bottom graphics aren't badly scratched up.....It could be made ride able again with some wood glue & clamps.

Still in contact with your friend that had the deck? I lost touch with so many people I skated with back in the 80s..Wish I would have been better at keeping in contact.
