Күн бұрынI'm a big of Roces. They were my first real skates and I'm always impressed with the quality of their skates. I've tried skating them over the years with mixed results, so figured now that Grant Hazelton has a signature boot I should give them another try.

Got to point those toes up in the sky when you hit that royal on coping, turn right before you land and also do it earlier and without pumping so much into it, it's just a mini. Grinding that mini as it if it were a ledge or angle iron will not help you at all. Remember coping grinds are on the inside, not on top of the coping, when you miss a grind on coping you're supposed to fall and slide down on the transition, if you fall on top of the ramp you aren't doing it right. Looking forward to seeing ya get those in M12🤘

Us OG skaters rode on some skinny ass souls lol. My Oxygens were very small. Compared to what's out there today.

Just picked up some M12 chestnuts, and some Valo E.B skates. The valo's where on sale because they don't make them anymore. You got me pumped to get back into it. I already started playing hockey 2 months ago since middle school. Im 38 years old now. I was thinking heck lets try aggressive skating now. Been years. But this has me thinking why not. Thanks!

I’ve just purchased those m12 lo, I must admit Im now in my mid 30’s and what to get rolling again. They are pretty decent priced and what you get for money wise you will gain from enjoyment!

I’m like you. I can’t slide as easily with a ramp as with a ledge. What a wonderful weather you have ! Where I am it’s about 4°C and it’s raining.

50/50 balance frame is so good.. atleast with anti rockers. Seriously I do love the balance frames. I just changed from usd carbon frees to Them 909s and they do have less soul but it (thankfully) didn't throw me off but the royales were definitely more difficult on them to get boot down. I've never skated roces my feet are too wide. I think at the end you were just too worn out because you had it. That "yeah" when you got the soul grind was awesome haha. By the way I think it'd be awesome for more bladers to colab. I'd love to see 50/50 and Laced (Brandon Drummond) to release something together. Just an idea but great video as always.

I LOVE the M12's! A lot of tricks are quite a bit harder to execute but when you do, it feels great and looks way cleaner and less sloppy compared to bulkier boots. Even skating around looks better compared to bulkier boots.

Would you agree that master the m12 and you could grind on any skates, wouldn't a smaller soul plate mean you have to be more precise, I'm just starting and waiting for my m12s to be delivered, can't wait !!!

You gotta work for it with M12s. It’s not always easy but i do think they make you use your knees in a positive way. I saw the USD Seven souls for the first time this week and it’s a world apart from the majestic but stick with them and see how it goes after a few months.

I could never do any groove tricks on rails/coping with fresh skates/frame groove. I always needed to break it in on some ledges or at the very least file it a bit to smooth out those fresh edges.

I started on Tarmac & Dirk's.... then had a 20 years break! so any modern skate feels easier to me 🤣

Glad to hear I'm not the only one struggling with boot down on the M12. Especially with my Sola Frames! So, why didn't the stock liner fit? Was it too tight? Mine are a bit tight and I'm hoping the RL1 could be a solution?

My foot is a size 44 and the only liners that come in this shell are 43. So they were just too small.

how different is the fit of RL1 compared to stock? Can it make you get into your normal shoe size or must go to next size?

I didn’t have a choice, the stock liner didn’t come in 44. I think they’re true to size though.

As someone who’s skates 3 pairs of m12’s the stock liner is much much thicker than the rl1. I’ve been skating the 8 shell with 9 stock liners and my feet cramp like crazy after 10 minutes. I believe I have the small liner that goes with the size 8 shell and it is a whole world of difference and comfortability for me and I have fairly small feet.

Glad to see you did indeed take them out for a spin with a flat setup. Boot down on M12s is definitely a hard ask. Was that a thinly veiled threat near the end? _You thought delta was bad, just wait..._ 😬 haha sounded a bit like a supervillain there. Take it easy ✌️

@@BacktoBlading it may be easier said than done, but just do what you need to do and try not to worry about it. Worrying is like a rocking chair it gives you something to do, but it doesn't get you anywhere. Take it easy ✌️

So, regarding royales. What's the polar opposite of these? What's the skate you feel is the easiest to royale in?

Razors SL with stock FLT3 frames. They don’t feel like you’re bending at all

Man, I'm planning to get on my skates again. I still have the 95' Roces when I was little and I restored it. I'm planning on getting these, but can you replace the middle part of the skates into wheels?? I'm not really planning on grinding much.

@@BacktoBlading surprisingly mine is still intact! That movie Airborne, I was inspired when I was younger haha. The original wheels/barring are a bit rough even with the new oil but usable. The foam in the shoes are definitely worn off but that’s the easiest to replace. The ones that you have are the only one available, unfortunately, in the website. I really like the all white one!

The I really like the boot, the look and the feel of the skate. However the sizing drives me nuts! I am a size 12, which means I have to get these in a size 13, which sadly puts me in this ridiculous shell size of 13-14.... and when I take the liner out the liner of the size 13 reads as a size 12.... fml

My only recommendation is to measure your feet in centimeters both the length and the width. If you can fit a normal width shoe, you should be able to fit majestic 12 with thin liners.

@@thenightspydercollector8066 just to reiterate what Law said you don't have to size up with M12s unless you have wide feet. I have average width feet and I fit M12s in my regular shell size 👍

These are the 43/44 shell. The Grant liner doesn’t come in 44 though which is why I’m using the RL1

Dammit you deserve an extra up vote for the COVID stuff. I feel you with the royal issue, I had Khuti’s back in the day (loved them but traded a pair of salomon sti’s for them 🙁) and had no problem getting them down. Now in the my 40’s I started on Graal and now Valo’s, like you I don’t have the strength or flexibility that I used to. It sucks as I love the Valo boot (TV1 in white) and haven’t yet found a pair of sti’s that fit my foot and budget.
