This week on Spot History we check out Dana Hills High School in Dana Point California and take a look at the 5 flat 5 double kink rail. It looks like there is some construction taking place which would stop most people from skating the rail but this does not stop Adam from getting some new tricks on it. As always we also talk about the history of the rail and go over all the tricks we know that's been done down it.

It's crazy how far skaters have come. Jamie's 50/50 was gnarly back in the day...now this dude puts down 5 nbd tricks on this rail with 3 feet of runway. Insane!

But how do we know the sun was setting and not rising? If it were rising, longer shaddows would mean it was earlier.

Shadows lineup with what happened in the start / end of this video. The sun would be in a totally different location if it were rising. @@destructionman1

So was it earlier than Geoff Rowley in '97 when Jamie and Jud skated it? Didn't misled youth come out in '99 pretty sure thrill of it all was '97. I'd check my VHS collection but it's in a box underneath a buncha stuff in my closet lol

I had no idea just how many tricks had been done on this rail. I went to that highschool and all four years I would think, "damn, imagine if someone skated this." A few years after I graduated I saw that Jamie Foy, Nyjah, and Zion threw down on this and I was like, "what! No way!" Thanks for covering this spot and for all the effort and research you put into each of these episodes!

This was my high school, I would walk up that hill to those portables everyday for classes. Never thought I’d see it on a clip show like this. Always thought it was a great rail but impossible run up and cheese grater asphalt, when I was there, the extra patch of asphalt up too wasn’t there. Can’t believe all these tricks went down here. Love this whole series but this made my day, thanks for taking me back 15 years!
