Great video, my friend. I just installed mine today. The instructions are not that great, but when I see you cutting the original braket, I did the same, but without removing it, it saved me lots of time. Thanks for the video.

Great idea cutting the Toyota bracket. After seeing where you cut it, I was able to cut the same spots right on the truck, which eliminated so much extra work. My only slow down was that I installed the angle brace upside down the first time and quickly realized it wouldn't get all the way to the bed panel attachment point. Overall great job. This is a very informative video. The step by step could use a few more details, but you more than made up for it with the bracket shortcut. I also cut the original bracket while it was still on the truck, and that saved a lot of time as well as simplified the installation. Thank you!

Yes that’s what I was trying to say at the end of the video. You can install this bracket without taking the bumper apart 👍🏽

Hello…great install video👍 One question…does your truck have the resin rear bumpers? I have a 2019 limited and have them …just want to make sure I don’t have to do any cutting on it besides the bracket bottom ? Thank you 👍

I think. They are the colored match bumpers front and rear, that comes on the platinum tundras. Thanks for the comment and sub 👍🏽

Use what is comfortable for you. I used what I had which was a Dremel.

Was going by instructions when I did it. Tried to let my viewers know that if I was to do it again I would not follow the instructions. I would just cut the bracket and install the step without taking bumper loose or bracket off.

Very confused (it’s not that hard to do!) what was all that instruction about #2 and #3 regarding bumper caps? That’s the only part of the install that I did not understand, but you did not show that? Sorry to be so dumb but what am I missing, please?

I started by following the bumper step instructions, but halfway through I decided to use the original bracket because the bracket included in the package was flimsy. So, I cut and used the original bracket which was more sturdy. Then I tried showing in the video that I didn’t have to remove the original bracket from the truck. All I had to do was cut it while it was on the truck which would have saved me a lot more time.
