Cole you are very talented. My son about your age excelled in welding in high school courses, then got an associates degree in college, Metallurgy and Welding. He was off to make big money in the oil fields and said "Dad I don't want to be a welder". I told him that's ok. He now has a great job in another field and welds just for fun.

Thank you so much sir! I actually went to college for electrical engineering technology and have a red seal as an industrial electrician. But this is my passion. I am working towards getting out on my own with my own fab shop. Politics where I work are horrible.

@@CenterLineDesigns Interesting; the son I spoke about is also an Electrician. He is a project manager building transformer stations for Solar and Wind farms. Go after your dream and the money will follow. Good luck on your shop endeavor.

4943 filler rod may help with porosity on some of those castings.
