Although this was before I was born I love anything like this especially with it being local. My Dad worked with a Don Halfpenny for the NCB at Eastwood Hall. I believe he lived in the Station Yard at Skegby.

Fascinating video, thank you for uploading. I lived in Skegby (Hazel Street) until 1970. I went to Skegby St Andew's Junior School until 1958 and well remember the old station. I also remember the foot bridge you showed that led to Skegby Bottoms, sometimes we went that way home from school. So many memories.

My grandfather worked at Skegby station As a Porter and I lived Bishop street off Northern View, and then went to Priestsic in 1981. Sadly it had all gone by the time I can remember. Infact I don’t even remember the fasteners. That was Jackson Shipley. Lovely to see how it all was and answers a few questions re the Northern Bridge station I never thought I’d see answered. Hope you may have some more of the line? Fascinating!!! Thank you for sharing.
