Once again the assiduous, , & dedicated, Jewel at her best, dishing out wonderful content ! It's a Joy to see African American women investing in Property in Ghana. Apart from owing you're also doing an infusion of cash into the local economy ! God bless your thoughts & bless you with more properties- & you can't go wrong with Air B N B- I'm an investor myself. Cos anytime you're in Ghana you can choose to free the place for yourself by not accepting bookings, & then when you're out it can rent.

I would definitely buy land, I love Ghana 🇬🇭 I bought land in Takoradi beach front! You just have to be careful buying land in Africa period! I’m excited to invest and have my own land in Ghana it’s a blessing! It just best for me to buy land and build, because soon I don’t have to pay rent or mortgage! I own my land and it’s 99 years for me and it’s better then the US, because in the US it expensive and you don’t own it at all! Ghana you buy land you do own it, everyone you have to do your research!

Ghana might be a muscline society but I don’t think It dismisses women’s opinion. If someone disagrees with you, it doesn’t mean they are doing so because of your gender. Ghanaian women are very confident and go- getters. And I believe on average they are richer than then men, but they don’t show off as the men do. Ghanaian women have achieved a lot because they are free to do whatever they want to do.

If I bought land it would be 50 year leasehold, If my husband who is Ghanaian bought land it would be 99 years. But he is from a Royal family and has brothers on both sides who are kings. The land I was given when I got married has no lease hold in those towns. But, I was at the Tema Survey Office a few weeks ago and was told that if you register your land, no matter the leasehold agreement says, the Lands Commission will automatically change it to 99 years for Ghanians and 50 for foreigners. If you are married you have to put the Ghanaian at the head to get the 99 years. The Lands Commission is online now as well.
@SistaCassie
@SistaCassie 2 жыл бұрын
@@CandidJewel This system is to ensure that Kings, families lands, and Ghana government are able to continue to be enriched by the Lands. If the Kings or Families(in case of Pram Pram) sell all the land their descendants will be screwed, it's annoying, but I get it. I think they should just call it a land tax that starts in 99 years instead of leased land. Or just have you pay a fee if you sell the land. People would not register land in part because of this issue but then that causes land disputes when someone sells your unregistered land.

I see the lease system in Ghana as the American property tax system. You buy a land in Ghana with a lease of 50 years, you just renew it after that 50 years all you do is pay something small. In America if you have a property you pay tax on it a very year. if you don't pay you can lose it to the state. I see no difference here.
