Being from the UK, not really surprising about London. I lived there for years myself. But I've visited Tokyo, New York, Singapore, Hong Kong, Paris, Madrid, Shanghai and from the list I would probably choose Singapore but Madrid, Tokyo and Hong Kong would be good choices for me too

Madrid, London and New York are shitholes. Barcelona, Manchester and San Francisco leave them for dead for living standards. Melbourne is the worlds best city to live. Best sports facilities, best restaurants, finest parks and gardens, best arts and music.

I don’t get why Berlin is always considered THE German city. Literally every German would tell you to go to Munich or Hamburg instead (or other big citys), Berlin is very unique for sure though, just has a lot of problems unfortunately.

I think is the reference as Germany is not having one massive city as Paris or London even having 84 million ppl, the population is spread around the country which is really good, but it is missing an iconic city, and probably Berlin is the reference

@@touwaxsdr8998 Yea that actually really makes sense, I would probably say that Berlin is the most multicultural German city, Munich is way more beautiful and traditional, but kinda boring to be honest, Hamburg has the beauty of Munich and feels multicultural like Berlin for me so Hamburg is my favorite big city, favorite German city in general is probably Constance 🔥🔥

Cities don't need to be 5+ million people. Cities can be 1+ million, and there are a ton of much better cities than those listed here. They got lazy and just put the major ones (which are usually overpriced, and less safe).

@@guneytopal1713 I mean it really depends on what you want to do. It's different whether you want to live in the city or visit it or just stay a bit.. Paris is awesome to visit I'm pretty sure of that. But to live in, you're right I also think many others cities are better. Cheaper, less crowded.. In my opinion, most of the main big cities in the world (London, Paris, New York and so on) follow this idea : they're awesome and worth to visit but not the best to live in.

I wouldn’t live in any of these Asian cities, it’s so crowded that I’d fell suffocated. Dubai is a desert, there’s no greens, it’s horrible. Madrid should be on the list.

It lacks economy. Doesn't have great public transit. Crime ratings are worse as well. But really, this list seems to focus only on the "major" cities, and overlooks all those great mid-sized cities in each country.

The largest cities in each country are the worst. Melbourne has been the worlds best city to live in since the 1850s and was the worlds richest city. Other great cities to live are Barcelona, Milan, Marseille, Dusseldorf, Montreal, Osaka, Wellington NZ, Copenhagen.

Agreed. Usually the 2-6th largest cities in each country offer much better quality of life than the big one. The large cities have worse crime and way more expensive.

I live in Berlin as a foreigner. There are many refugees in Berlin but it is never multicultural nor international. It is very boring and dirty. You cannot compare Berlin to Paris or London.
