YAY! I finally filmed this. I had to film it a couple of times due to some camera issues. 😅 I am so happy to finally have it done! I hope you guys like this video, since the work in it is so spread out over time I'm not as excited about what's in it because I don't feel like it represents where I'm at now with my art 🙈 Prolly just me tho. 💕

Pika PikaChu Yeah, the most liked comment also mentions this. They were more of studies on color schemes and lighting than facial expression/shape/etc. Keeping things fairly similar to focus on practicing other skills.

Pika PikaChu That's true but it's to practice. And it's her art so she can draw what she likes, it doesn't matter if she draws the same things. As long as she enjoys it.

What i noticed when she was talking about her own art, of what she liked and disliked. It made me notice that for me i thought everything in her sketchbook was beautiful, even the things she disliked. Because I have never seen that sketch before. So thinking about it its like, you think your work is bad because you made it and you wish it could turn out so much better. While if someone else saw it they would most likley say its so pretty. Idk i just wanted to say that.

Theres something different about your art than most. Ik its an entirely different style but your art isnt like completely defined or outline and specific, its warm and soft and the colors mix together and its soo comforting

I love how creative this sketchbook is! How you just kinda go for what you wanna draw and draw a ton of cats and flowers and don't even start with linework! You just go for it! I feel like I need to start drawing what I want to and stop making myself draw accurately and perfectly. Because it doesn't have to be perfect! It's cool that you cover up some of your art because you didn't feel satisfied with it. It means you can grow and change and experiment and have fun!!

Great tour! I like how you describe what you're working toward and how you feel about each piece. When you spoke of covering up with dark colors, it reminded me of a more recent video where you changed the background several times, then cut out the flower vase and checkerboard table from a painting. That mouse page in this sketchbook is super cool, I think - it's just not the style or intent you were aiming for. 🥰👍 (Waves happily to you and your doggie at the end of the vid)

What I find fascinating is that your female characters have always the same expression on their faces. I love colors you use and the kittens you draw. :)
