Oh yeah, awesome! Haven't even watched the video yet but I'll do so instantly. Big fan of Dark Souls and From Software titles in general. Also of their soundtracks of course. This might make the wait for Elden Ring a bit more pleasant :)

This is what I've been saying a lot. You create your own multis to end up sounding like Pandora 4 or TOC 3 with ZERO price.

Soulsien is sick!. My favorite from you by far. Love THICK2020. What can't tell what all it has. Looks like... Spitfire - what library? Heavyocity - Damage2 8DIO - what library? Medusa Ensembles 8DIO - what library? Not sure which one is the 2nd to last? Heavyocity - Damage? I don't have any good PERC library. I am thinking to get one. Leaning towards Damage 2. I am looking at getting the M Ark bundle. Does that have enough not to worry about others? I am not a music professional, but I love great drums. Can really afford to go all out and get a bunch like you have.

Sounds great! What limiter and compressor do you use on your master that doesn’t cause latency while you’re tracking. Are you using some sort of VEP for samples on another rig? Very curious about optimum composer rigs as I’m putting one together now for a new studio. Thanks for the inspiration!

I think it’s the brickwall limiter in T-racks 5 by IK Multimedia. In fact, I’m pretty most if not all of his mastering chain while sketching is just the Master #1 preset in T-racks! DJ doesn’t use vepro as far as I know (doesn’t suit his workflow). However I use it myself, and it’s awesome if you wanna utilize larger templates with everything ready to go!

I'd love to see how your master deals with that "badassepicsbombasticstuff". I put a flute and a triangle and my master goes red and insults me already :-) (Always a pleasure to watch you composing btw. And Oceania rules ! Gotta love those choirs)

I always work with a master chain on (gentle compression and a brickwall limiter) So I am more listening for how saturated things feel. Sometimes I like things to sound fuzzy and messy, particularly in dangerous tracks like this. I think there is room for creative mixing that not enough people experiment with :)

@@DJLA Ooooooh that’s a really interesting idea, I should try that! Should save me the trouble of sometimes having to rebalance things after I hit the track with a limiter.

You can actually hear the compressor/limiter distorting the lowend quite a lot here, however it does sound cool. Having the limiter clamp down on a few db isn’t necessarily a bad thing at all :)
