Its a Fixative spray usually used for sealing the graphite or charcoal powder.

Charcoal or Graphite? Newbie question. 🙏 Also, I notice many pencil artists strip 1/2-3/4” of wood from pencil exposing the graphite. Is that hat simply to get an acute angle for shading? Does it reduce shade time? Thanks.
