Nice job. It's always nice to use spare items and turn them into something useful. You're right though. Something practical and works is always better than making it pretty and is breaks. Lifting that trailer was definitely a nice test. Definitely not lightweight lol

Yeah it's stronger than the machine it's on.

I weld for a living and your welds looked good. You are crazy welding without gloves. Keep making videos I enjoy watching them.

Thank you. I'm sure there will probably be someone who thinks every weld should look like that stainless Tig fusion weld they saw a picture of and say my welds look like crap 🤣

I saw the hangnail on this video and thought 'truck rails' so maybe I was picking up something from you! That's a GOOD thing and so are the forks. 10/4 on the non roll back on standard stuff. A little beats nothing and raising stuff up high to get it is a bad deal. End up on the nose if not careful. LOTS better the way you did it. A-PLUS, Ezra and Blessings 2 yall!

Always handy to have forks around, even better when they don't cost you much! But then I've been told I've forked up a lot of stuff so...

Check scrap dumpsters at fork lift rental joints, we used to throw about a half a dozen away every month that had plenty of life left if operator doesn't drag them everywhere.

You must be in western ND with no snow on the ground. I’m in SE ND about 40 miles southwest of Fargo, starting to melt good but still plenty on the ground. Anyway I really enjoy your videos nice job on pallet forks

I have been needing to make some fork extensions. i have been wanting to use some frame cuts i have as well....just have not taken the time to do it......maybe this will motivate me! looks like your plan worked out well. i bought my pallet forks for my skidsteer. i bought a set of 5. sold off 4 so my set were basically free. they are the ones with the front pass through....much easier for a short guy to get in and out of the machine!
@Ezrider3594 жыл бұрын
I was just pulling a 5th wheel off a truck yesterday thinking I could use some extentions for these forks....lol or maybe I just need a gradeall

Handy project build .I wonder if you can notch the top rail ,and slot or weld something on the fork to stay in place at certain increments .

Yes I could and probably will

Great Job on them. You must have Buffalo hide for skin on your hands. If I brought home all the "scrap metal" that I wanted to, I would be divorced. No such thing as Scrap Eh!!
@Ezrider3594 жыл бұрын
The scrap metal is accumulated not brought in as scrap....lol about time to haul it off so wanted to use up some of the material I thought was useful before I got rid of it

I have a one question all of the welding that you did on truck frame and this forks , what kind of welder did you use.... Thank you in advance.... Good job 👍

The forks were welded with a harbor Freight titanium 200 in stick welding mode with 5/32 7018 at 140 amps

Can't you make some sort of dawgs to lock the forks in?👍

yeah i can, was just ment to be a quick afternoon project that turned into the afternoon and a couple hours the next morning...lol i can refine them a bit when i get some more tinker time.....lol

No welding Gloves ??? Your hands a little crispy??? I like the repurpose of the frame rails then I seen your old front fender
@Ezrider3594 жыл бұрын
I did wear gloves for the majority of the welding but I have very thick callused hands so I do lots of things with no gloves that a lot of people wouldn't without being bothered

Do you have a rubber recycler up there that will actually come get your scrap tires free of charge?
@Ezrider3594 жыл бұрын
Not that will pick them up the place I buy my tires from will take them. There's some casing credits in there that off set the disposals.
@StayingBack714 жыл бұрын
@@Ezrider359 Ahhhh, You got some credits in the pile...Good Deal. I got a guy that runs an end dump in my yard that buys take offs I dont want ......I'll give him 4-6 tires at a time for Like $100 and he'll run em locally till their slick. Yeah I could get more as casings- But Id rather help out the guys in the yard.
@Ezrider3594 жыл бұрын
I like to hang onto some of my usable take offs for when you cut a tire on a weekend or stuff like that you have a few tires you can use until you can go get some new ones.

Lol yeah. Finnished something else that day and thought oh I should have enough time to knock this out before the end of the day.... Yeah no....lol probably could have if I was using new steel rather than cutting up scrap
