Never hire a friend to do construction work. Hire a different plumber. Do you have a contract? If you have a contract with him, you can push back. Contracts are very very important. Hope it all works out for y'all. Love, love the animals. ❤

Unfinished work = unfinished pay Finished work = finished pay If they leave a job, you can get someone else in to finish the job. Putting other contractors behind is unacceptable.

That’s not always feasible. We have no idea the $$$ this guy got paid up front. It can get really sticky really fast. Going rate is to front the $ for material and labor paid upon completion.

P.S. Despite being a viewer of the channel for a long time now, I never purchased anything until the pecan thing. I find it so great you partnered up with this local farmer. I ordered 2 lbs, it's on the way, and can't wait to tell my family the story behind the pecans. Daniel, I know that your friends mean a lot to you. When friendship gets in the way of business then there has to be an answer. I'd call the plumber and ask for a finish date. If he can get in done, maybe another guy needs to be called. This building needs to be finished so you mailing orders can be processed there. Friends can take advantage of a situation and this cannot get in the way of progress.

That was a quick disposal of Houston's geese. Even they seemed shocked and sad to go. To compensate. you should get him some new eggs so that he could raise them from scratch; but this time with the knowledge that they will be sold or given away. He may not cry in front of the camera but I'm sure he feels some loss. He wouldn't be human after all. It was such a pleasure watching him go through the process of the eggs developing. And they were beautiful!

I gotta agree with ya Dan'l, being rid of those three white honkers is a GOOD thing. One is enough. Your friend has put you in a bad spot by not completing his work. It really is upsetting when a friendship gets strained by business issues. Been there, done that. It sucks.

I think you have a motley crue of animals. All different, but they get along and make beautiful music together/ I am still amazed how that machine can destroy a big branch and all the surroundings into a pile of ground cover. I am happy that you can release stress by working with your big boy toys, lord knows you have a lot right now. Friends and family are a big no no to get to do a job they know they can do whatever and you'll still be friends and family. Well ties can be cut and it can get ugly. Trust me I have experienced this

I helped my uncle build houses & apartments for over 30 years & all that plumbing should have been completed in about 12 actual working hours total!!! Start to finish!!! Daniel you should tell your friend to step it up & get it done!!! For what is already done it should only take him about 4 hours to complete the job!!! Just my opinion but if you don't stand up for what is right he may not get it done for 6 months to a year if you allow him to keep putting it off!!! Just talk to him Daniel!!! Join the club! We've been renovating (gutted) a modest-sized house for over 2 3/4 years! The electrician wasn't done after a few months! We had to fire him and get a new guy. Finally, after 4 months we had electricity. Tomorrow, we are moving!!

Sometimes dealing with friends can be the worst. You don't want to damage the friendship but you need the work done. A random company you can pressure them all you need to and don't worry, a friend or family member, you're just stuck, and on the other hand, they tend to leave you waiting because they know you're going to go easier on them because of your relationship.

You guys should consider doing to your concrete floors what Cog Hill Farm did to their milk room floor. All it took was a bag of iron crystals and a pot of coffee after that part was done they sealed the floor. It looks fantastic. You should check it out.

I learned the hard way not to do business with family or friends. I still have a door that has to be reframed in my house and a new door bought because a friend’s husband cut the framing to hang a door that did not fit and he did not reframe the opening so there is no framing/support on one side. The door on that side is attached to nothing. When I questioned him he said it was not a load bearing wall. Needless to say his work in my home stopped that day.

I'm so sorry about the plumber problem. I learned a long time ago not to hire a friend to do stuff or even suggest a friend. It sometimes works out, but it's best not to mix. Anyway, I REALLY love watching you run that machinery! I can only imagine what it's like to run one. That area looks so much better, and I bet the smell is pretty good, too. The native pecans being smaller might not work out financially because they are smaller and need more work, I'm thinkin. I'm not sure, though.🤷🏻♀️ You can always ask the people you know. Construction...ain't it fun! I'm wondering how your plumber is going to feel about you calling him out here. I'm hoping he's got a legitimate reason for this, although he should have communicated that to you, and I'm hoping this will motivate him to get this done for you soon. My grandmother loved the native pecans, though they were smaller, they were so much sweeter! She’d spend months shelling and picking pecans for Christmas cookies! Papershells are large & pretty, but natives are sweet and tasty!

Awesome video Daniel. I so love watching you clearing the land. Looks so beautiful after. Was nice to see all the animals and know that they are all safe and well. I do hope your new building will soon see some progress! It’s very frustrating especially since it involves a friend. I sure hope he hasn’t had financial difficulties and in order to try to get his head above water has taken on too many jobs to the point you may not be the only people who he has promised to get plumbing done and hasn’t come back to finish the work. 🙏 Thanks for another great video. Daniel you need to contact the friend / plumber & give him a deadline. Tell him if its Not met-- that you're hiring another plumber. Find another plumber & put him on Speed dial!!! Daniel, your cleanup under that country looked fantastic when you were done. And definitely, that long branch should come down and then you can finish up that little bit of cleanup that is underneath the tip of that branch.!! You are right about one thing… Sometimes we all need to be able to do a job that while it may be work, …. It is also a De stressor, which we all need now and then! I think it would be a great idea if you harvested the cons next year because as you said, there are different types of pecans but they’re all edible and have their value. I don’t always want great big conch when I’m baking certain desserts. And there’s a lot of flavor in those little pecans so I wish you the best of luck in getting your land ready for harvesting pecans❣️
