Just got my skid steer. Hope to attach splitter soon. Have inverted splitter I fabricated on my tractor 3 point hitch but it really pulls my neck twisting around all the time. Enjoyed your plan as you go engineering. I'm a bit like that too!

The gland end of this cylinder ended up being damaged. I built a new one and converted it to modern seals, it then blew out the other end of the cylinder. Apparently someone had shortened a longer cylinder and welded on a very light end. I rebuilt that many times stronger/thicker and haven't had an trouble since.

I flipped my box store splitter and made a bracket to mount on the forks of my John Deere 870 compact tractor. It performs OK, but I need to work out a faster pump (PTO likely). Mine is mounted perpendicular to yours. Visibility is a little harder on a tractor with it mounted straight out in front.

Nice 👍 its kinda hard to see on the skid steer, almost wish I'd mounted it off to the side. I can just imagine it on a tractor loader. It looks like they go up to about 20 gpm on 540 rpm. I wanted to build something for on the backhoe but haven't figured out how to do it yet. Thanks 👍
