Water this close to the ocean is probably already saltwater, if not that then it’s brackish for at least a mile inland. There’s, fortunately, nothing in the river.

​@@Phani_2001it is not, this is happening because there is a lot of water piled up in the river, most likely a heavy rain just poured and filled up the river, and a breach will happen later on because of it, the reason why this isn't illegal is because this happens naturally in that area, and by naturally I mean without any interference or assistance by humans, and i'm pretty zure they're already given a green light before doing this, the only thing they are doing is breaching it in advanced, and yes it does destroy the ecosystem, but again, the point here is that that thing will happen naturally, even if left alone, it will slowly make it's way to the ocean, and overflow, until it gets that big, and the fact that they started with a small shovel like that, means that it was gonna happen way sooner, what they're doing is not illegal since it's something that happens naturally, unless it is not natural, and I mean like something that isn't supposed to happen, then only then it is illegal, since at this specific area it is natural, supposed to happen, or is common, what they are doing is just assissting, or quickening it's breach, so no it isn't illegal

Beaches are made out of tiny bits of erroded rock that we call sand and they form due to natural deposition, the sand moved by the new passage will eventually settle back on the beach again with time. The only reason it looks like its 'collapsing' is because of the new errosion caused by the new connection. Give it a bit of time to settle down and it will form a more "natural" connection like the ones you stereotypically would see. its also pretty much impossible to collapse sonething already at sea level, hope that clears it up

@@ohioanempire Once the water overflows, it creates a set path for that overflow water to go, you could say it becomes a sort of miniature river, so to speak. As the water continues to flow, it takes the sand with it, making the river increase in size. It would have happened eventually.

I would have liked to enjoy the video but he picked up the garbage (props) just to create a situation that would not have existed on nature ( or would it) and all I could think of was the environmental impact of his day of fun. Plant life along the creek, animal life, beach erosion, garbage and chemicals.from the creek flowing at high rates into a human swimming area causing fecal and chemical contamination at that location. I don't think water would have entered the ocean naturally at that rate at any one point. Picking up garbage is great but we need to think way beyond picking up garbage.

The creek would have breeched naturally. The wave action builds the berm and the creek fills up, eventually breeching the berm. The cycle is continuous.
