I recently started grinding this tank and it surprised me how much I love this little gem, the gun handling and dpm is *chefs kiss* and the gun depression is amazing for ridgelines.

Sta2 is bevore type 61 right, because im at tier 8 med japan and its so weird to play, my soldiers are so advanced and have 3 skills maxed and still this tank plays so weird (im not a gold spamer) it only feels fine in tier 6 matches or tier 7 but its absolute bs in tier 9 and 10 matches

@@olisflow8160 sta-1 is beforetype 61, sta-2 is premium version which is faster but with worse Dpm

If u like STA-1 u will probably enjoy Sta -2 but i think its bit worse imo ... Than Sta-1. Just because dpm is worse and camo ratings if im correct

@@olisflow8160you have to play it like a samurai with his katana, forget the tumor and it’s a good tank. Vs tier 10, honestly most tier 8s aren’t that good. I’m mainly a heavy and light tank player but I have a soft spot for this tank.

@@olisflow8160 if u are new to wot i recommend u to Play with heavy tanks like Russian lines or german. They are good for beginers. If u rly want to Play with medium tanks i recommend to Play with Russian tanks as well. Those are well armored medium tanks so u can make some mistakes and u will not get punished in some cases. Japan VIII tier STA-1 is amazing vehicle but due to low Alpha and no armor IT is extremely hard to Play for new players. U gotta be like invisible ninja. U need to use Bush mechanics to perfection and know how and where u can find DMG for urself being in safe spot at the same time

Type 61 - one of the best examples how a tank can shine when given the right map and tactical situation.. and how it can be frustrating in the wrong ones. Great example of Tactical Gameplay Skill! Nice to see this lil guy shine!

Nice video Skill, so happy to see you play one of my all-time favorite tanks in the game again! I did not expect to like it very much when I started my grind towards the STB, but somehow it just clicked with me, and I 3-marked it in 87 games. The gun, especially with the HEAT-ammo, is absolutely glorious and it can rip apart enemies without bigger problems whatsoever. This tank is definitely a hidden gem in the japanese tech tree, and, though hard to play, it definitely does deserve at least a 4-star rating in the index.

Great job...i was struggeling as well with this tank when i was grinding it, but with the big gun was much more easier to get the stb1.

It would be amazing if you played this tank with the 90mm gun, 4K DPM and a sub 4 second reload. I have had the most fun with that setup

My first T9 medium tank. I found the grind horrible but it was worth it. You are right it's a tough tank to play but I also think that it is a much better tank than the Patton.

Skill, here is what would be very helpful for me... When to play in different 'modes' 1. Safe Defensive Parameters 2. Don't make pressure 3. Time to make pressure 4. Full tralala mode I know it would take a significant amount of editing to scour through the games. But, i tell you, it would really help me. I hear you say 'safe defensive paramters' and i wonder How did he make that decision? Love your channel man. Thank you for teaching this average player. RedBuddha on NA

Recently I saw a video about the buffed CenturionAX and in this video they compared it to stb1. I dont know why, but I find AX 10 times easier to play then STB1. STB1 in theory has the dpm to and other capabilities to be somewhat good in a brawl against other meds. But I seem to be unable to make it work. STB has some of the worst stats for tier 10 meds on my account. I guess I already know one reason => I need like 100mil+ credits to buy all the tanks that are currently not in my garage and thats why im not shooting gold that much. Any tips on how to play the stb?

I don't mind playing this Type 61, even though I do way better in for instance a Leopard PTA. But let's get real, at tier 9 there's nothing better than a Standard B (even after the nerf) or Skoda T50!

"down to fartable" means low on HP that any enemy tank left in the battle can one-shot to death including arta splash or higher caliber HE shot to any part of armour.

I firmly believe this tank is 4 star. Such a good gun handling and dpm and also your turret can bounce from time to time. Also has gun depression and nice base view range(?) if i remember correctly. Needs turbo though
