Map guides would be fantastic. You guys had a great video on general positioning principals for and against melee/caster cleaves and mixed teams, but there are definitely some maps that it’s a little difficult to apply those general principals. As a melee, for instance, I frequently struggle with positioning on ruins.

You realize that so many things happen instantly and by the time you get to see the others CC's or CD's you are dead. And from my perspective as a NOOB in pvp, while I am listening to you, all i can hear and watch is this ... 4:25. There has to be some 1, 2, or 3 key things to watch in order to be more efficient.... I want to play, not to solve equations in arena.... For now, I just enjoy BG's.....

I agree with the general idea of the video but random oneshots can happen at any time, not just 30 seconds after a missplay.

Most classes have strong enough cc they can cast often enough to ensure soon into the match, stun locking a player is more than likely. Most specs can also have strong burst and great sustained damage that is available more often than players defensives. Stronger offenses generally exist compared to defensives and dampening is also a factor. Playing smart with the tools at your disposal MAY win you the match if you are not handicapped by playing a spec with less or worse tools than your enemies.

I started playing wow only a year and half ago. Recently started messing with pvp. Wow what a hard thing to be good at. I find that I'm dying before I even know who's killing me or what's going on

we're in the same boat on that mate just started dabling in pvp a few months ago and to improve from being absolutely clubbed every single match to staying alive half the time is probably the best feeling of improvement you'll ever have in the game lol

okay so how do i improve on monitoring 50 numbers at the same time like the main tip is allways record yourself and see what you did wrong and so i did and i see alot of mistakes obviously that even a mole could spot from a mile away but i completely miss it in the moment not even tunnelvisioning on a kill just losing track of where everyone is and such

There is no real easy fix without removing crit as a function in the game. If everything is tuned down in damage, so it is only impactful when crits happen, non-crits will do no noticeable damage, as they already are for some abilities when they do crit. A hard cap on some outling abilities would probably help. If no individual abilities were allowed to hit for over 200k, while max geared players have about 400k health, it could feel more fair than the current 300k hits that by themselves and nothing else kill a non-max geared person. I also feel stun/kick immunities that are class or spec granted are generally bad for the game, while diminishing returns should be shared by all crowd control types. Example: a target receives 8 crowd control effects during a match in rapid succession now, and that is the state of the game, if they don't DR each other you don't get to play that match. If after the 3rd cc in a 30-second period is applied, a player should be cc immune, full stop, for 30 seconds having a cc immunity. Let people play half of their gametime at a minimum. They are paying money to play a game, not to be a sheep.

Main reason I lose are from premades of players stacked with gear. I wish they would do a gear check when you Q so people farming basic honor gear don’t matched up against teams with conquest.

A bit of Ilev matchmaking wouldn't help people's alts unless it remembered the Max pvp item level a given character ever had. If it only goes by what you are wearing when you queue, people could queue without gear on and equip it again in a second in the staging room. Also, if you've played from the start of DF on a character, you already have a full set of conquest. If you're terribly unsuccessful in rated pvp but consistently doing unranked, you could have still capped conquest weekly, given enough play time. The largest gearing difference is no vault rewards from non-rated pvp. But the world pvp gear and best crafted pvp gear is a decent upgrade over honor gear.

3 main reasons I lose, 1 I never play 1 full season, I play too many alts, I quit after a month of pvp due to nerfs lol

My biggest issue is when I play solo shuffle and win 4/6 and gain 20 points with the others being my rating. Then I go up against similar rating and win 3/6 and lose 70 points. I also get focused constantly as Feral.

i got sent to a lobby where everyone, even the other healer was 300 cr higher than me, i lost five out of six, -55..... they sent me to get destroyed and then punished me when i did.

Idk this video is ok in some type but personally as a dk on start of the arena vs casters i counter the spell burst with AMZ before they do the dmg and never ever the guys with who i play in the lobby stay in it , i dont know why i even have it as a talent its waste and in the end im the bad guy cos they got 1shoted not staying on the fcking zone when ita placed on them ! To make shuffle and arena ok blizz must remove that starting 10% damp the dmg is too much and too fast and small brains cant react to it + the damp

dragonslands pvp sucks, people die to fast and counter play is almost nonexistent. people do too much dmg with ease, cooldown stacking and burst need brought down or games gonna keep bleeding players and the ladder will die more and more like it is. bfa was miles better than this crap

Hard disagree, I like that shit actually does not unlike BFA where there were literally 20 minutes of a game because nothing would die. Shit is boring to watch and exhausting to play. I like that shit dies and that you actually can do damage and in fact I think there needs to be more damage.

@@toemasmeems bfa damage pacing was fine, healers were why no one died. bfa was actually p fast if you used pve gear. they never should have changed damage, just nerfed healers. if they add more damage it will continue to ruin pvp and deter newer people from dabbling in it, and second promote degenerate low skill game play that only requires you to focus for about 10 sec every min or so during a go unlike bfa that required you to be engaged for the length of the game (i agree to long though due to healer output being overtuned)
