Here is my Video on Skilled Migration to Australia. This video explains the way I migrated to Australia applying directly to the Australian Migration Website without using any agents or brokers. Anyone who has a qualification and experience in a Trade or Profession listed in the Skilled Occupations List can directly apply, pay the required fees and do the processing on their own. Subtitles in English, Hindi, Punjabi, Tamil, Telugu and Thai.

In this short video today, I present to you a few questions and answers that many of my friends and relatives have often asked me.
These were the questions : Where are you now? How long have you been there? How did you get there?
I now live in Melbourne, in the state of Victoria, Australia. My wife and I came here in 2005. That is, sixteen years have passed. During this years, we worked in Kochi for two years. Now here's the thing. Skilled Migration is a method of migration. You might have seen many videos about migrating to Australia but you are unlikely to have heard much of skilled migration and many people still use it today. My wife and I came here with permanent residency through skilled migration.
This skill migration is the process by which the government directly selects people with experience studying and working in other countries for the required trades or professions to fill the skill shortage in this country, every year. This process has no agents or shortcuts of any kind. Those with these qualifications and experiences should go to the Australian Government website and apply for paying the required fees. This website will have all the details including the required trades and professions from time to time, the points required for them and how to apply. The link to this website can be found in the description below. Those who are interested can go and browse them and do what is required.

Make sure that the trade / skill you are applying for is in the Skills priority list and you have enough (at least few years) of practical experience. This is because on your skill assessment, you have to show all your qualifications, skills and experiences. I would suggest you to apply for the skill that you most experience and that is recent. Once you are here, you can do any type of jobs in any industry. You don’t need to apply through any agencies. Just follow the instructions and steps as per the Australian migration website. Any skilled migration is based on the point system.

In my understanding, Police clearance is a must for every county where we lived more than six months or one year (I am not sure about this duration) Thank you

Please don’t migrate to Australia… its very very expensive.. lowest rent for a old and dirty 2 bedroom 1 bathroom unit is 75000rs per month. Average pay after tax is 1.7 lacs per month. Utility- electricity + water + gas is minimum 30,000rs. Groceries around 40,000 rs. Savings will be around 25,000rs if you dont spend for anything else and don’t have a car…

Thank you so much for your valuable feedback. What you said is very true ! If you can get a job and a salary of 1.7 lacs per month after tax in India, you should never think of migrating to Australia or any other countries. I am not sure about the expenses that you have mentioned. For a single person, these amounts definitely doesn’t add up. Even for a family of four it may come less than half of it. But everything depends on how you live and where you live. Thank you again.

Hi Bency, Electrician is a great job with high demand in Australia and is very well paid. But to get a job of a registered electrician, you should complete some studies here and get the Electrician’s License. If you have at least three years of work experience as a licensed electrician in any country, you can try for the skill assessment and apply for the skilled migration. In my understanding, you can’t work or apply for jobs in Australia, if you are on a visitor visa. If the immigration office finds that you have intentions to get a job etc. They can even cancel your visa and send you back from the airport. Very much True ! Cost of living is rising everywhere in the world ! Unemployment is increasing everywhere in the world as well. What I learned from my experience, if you are ready to do any reasonable job, it is not hard to find a full time job, in Australia. One time I had three part time jobs at a time and that was my choice. I know someone who doesn’t want to do anything other than what they learned in school and they are still looking for job, after five years ! They will have to wait a lot more than others who are ready to learn new skills and find a job, to support their family or themselves at least. Thank you for your time and feedback 😍👍

Hi Albin, Yes, There are few options for temporary visas. They are visiting visas and work visas. For a work visa, employers will select people from different countries after some formalities like interviews etc. and they can bring them for a short period of few months to couple of years. That is again depending on the need of the industry. They also have to show to the government that they can’t get qualified / experienced people in the country. Hi Sir, I am working in uae as telecommunications engineer. My salary is almost 2.5 lakhs Inr per month. We don’t have tax here. My husband is working as HR manager, he too has almost same salary. Thank you so much for your time support towards my channel. We can never compare UAE and Australia. In UAE you enjoy a luxury life, tax free high salary, company house, house maids, drivers, servants etc. But I heard from my friends who work there that your life there is fully under pressure from your employer and it lasts only till the employer agrees. Once they ask you to leave, you have to go back to India or somewhere you like. But here in AUS, for you to get to that level of life (Except company house, house maids, drivers, servants etc., as you have to pay for everything and you will choose to have a minimum or none) it may take some time. You may not get the same position that you have there as they have to know who you are and what you can do. If you are lucky enough, you may get it straight away. Another factor is that all the trades are not in the priority list for migration, every time. It changes from time to time. Once you are here as a resident, you can do any type of work, in any field. To be frank, if you are ready to do any type of work until you get your dream job, you will not regret. Once you get your job and prove your skills, you will get better pay and benefits here. Don't forget the tax system here. It starts from around 20% to 42% depending on your salary. You can stay here till your end of life if you are a resident of Australia. No body can send you back, as long as you are not doing anything really naughty and against the law. Have a think and take a good decision.

Thank you for your time and support to my channel and videos. It is a great news that your job is listed in the job category list. Next step is to identify the Assessing Agent (Assessor) listed against your job. Then you can contact them and apply for an Expression of interest with that agency. You can find these details in their website. This expression of interest will include your job details, experiences, Positions held, Job roles and Responsibilities etc. You can provide the details as per their form and documents. You also need to pay the required fees for this. Just to keep in mind that the positions we name in our country may not be the same in Australia or the job roles may be slightly different. Different roles also need related experiences. Once your expression of interest is approved, they (Assessing agency) will invite you to apply for the Visa and you go from there. This process is time consuming and needs lot of patience. In between, you can do an IELTS or similar Test to prove your English Language skills as that is also another requirement.

If you are qualified with required experience in a field which is in demand here in Australia, you will definitely find plenty of jobs (Fulltime or part time depending on your choice). Would you mind spending in thousands when earning in lakhs !? Aren’t you spending thousands for rent in India ?

If it is on the list, you can do the assessment on your experience and qualifications. Once it is approved, they will invite you to apply for your visa. Toolmaker trade was not in the demand list for a long time. I am not sure if it is in now. You can refer to the immigration website : www.immi.homeaffairs.gov.au

Hi, For any skilled migration process, you need to pass the IELTS or similar tests. Required score or band will depend upon the trade or qualifications you are migrating with. It varies from the basic to advanced (5 to 7.5 or 8 for IELTS) for example.

Hi, Thank you for your time and support for my channel 😍👍 I don’t think it is a problem for your cousin to sponsor you as an employee as long as he can meet the Government requirements and conditions. In my understanding, anyone who runs a legal business in Australia can sponsor someone from overseas, as long as the prospective employee is qualified for the job, and he the employer couldn’t find any employee from the local job market, and he is happy to make the required paperwork, guarantee payments etc. It is a very long process and there are lots of legal formalities. I would recommend you to check with your cousin and he should be able to give you a better idea.

Hi Vineeth, Thank you for your time and support to my channel and videos. As I mentioned in all my videos, I am not a Migration Agent or someone who can give you any suggestions or advices regarding migration to Australia. My aim on uploading these videos are only to share my experiences in my migration and settling down process in Australia and to encourage people to try on their own, without spending large amount of money to the so called agents who are doing the same work that we all can do. I am really sorry that I can't help you in this. I have no idea about the pending 489 visa applications. Only thing that I can note here is that this type of visa is no longer available for new applicants from November 2019. At the moment, this 489 visa category is only available to family members of those who are already on that visas. Australian Government keeps updating the skilled occupations list and the visa categories every year or so, according to the need and shortage of skilled occupations in this country. Or if the student (who is a parent) can bring their child, it is also possible, as long as they can support the spouse / partner and child. In both cases, there won't be any financial assistances from the Government.

Hi Aneesh, Thank for your time and support for my channel 😍👍 When I did my migration processing, the total expense for all the steps required plus the Flight costs was around AU$3200 which was then equal to around INR 120,000. This was for me and for my wife together. I am not very sure about the fees and costs at this time. Visa fees itself is around AU $2500 per person. Other costs such as English tests, Trade Assessments etc will be on top of that. You can get the few details on the Australian government website for migration. Link is given in the description below my videos.

@@aneeshbabukochi8828 Hi Aneesh, If you are qualified in a trade which is in the skill shortage list and have few years of experience in the relevant field, you don't need any agency. Agencies will charge you a lot of money. You can do your migration on your own without any agency's help. That is what I have done and that was the purpose of all my migration videos. You should be able to do it if you follow the step by step instructions in my videos. Also the Australian Government website is very helpful with lots of details. immi.homeaffairs.gov.au/ Thank you for your time.

If you are looking for Migration, you should have a qualification and relevant experience in a field which is currently in demand in Australia. This demand list is changing every year or from time to time. If you have all these, you just need to do an assessment of your skill and qualifications, then once your assessment is done, Australian Migration department will invite you to apply for a visa. I have explained all these steps very clearly in my videos. I have also mentioned that I am not a Migration Agent or I don’t have any authority or rights to give anyone advice on migration. What I have done in my videos is just from my personal experiences and experiences from my friends. Thank you again for your support !

Due to my tight schedule and life here, I won’t be able to assist you in your migration process, but definitely I can give you some idea on how to do it. It is great that your husband’s job is listed in the Skilled Occupation List and he will be eligible for 65 points straight away. In that case, you can apply for an assessment with the assessing authority listed against the job title. This assessment application should include all the experiences, types of jobs that he has done etc.(CV and work experiences). There is a requirement in minimum experience for each trade or job title. Once he received his assessment letter (approval) he will be invited to apply for the Visa. Thank you so much again for your time and support for my Channel. Good luck with your future plans.

First step is to apply for assessments of your qualifications and experience with Engineers Australia : www.engineersaustralia.org.au as per the Australian migration website. They will then invite you to apply for your visa if they see your qualifications and experience are sufficient for your migration. What I understand from my friends is that they will invite those people who have the highest points. Once you get your assessment done it is easy. If your qualification is in the list, it is still in demand, but it will change from time to time, as per the requirement of the Australian Industry needs. To get a job in the Healthcare industry, you need to have an Australian qualification or approved qualification. You also need to get some certifications such as First Aid, Medication, Police Clearance, Manual Handling etc, depending of the job specifications. I am not sure if you can apply for any such jobs from overseas.

As I mentioned in my videos, I am not a migration expert or someone who can give you directions or advice on this matter. I was sharing my personal experiences with my viewers to give them an idea that anyone who wants to migrate, can do it on their own. In general, the migration to Australia is mainly depending on your background (qualifications and experience) and the Government’s requirements (that changes from time to time). If you wish to migrate to Australia, first thing you have to do is to go to the Australian Migration Website immi.homeaffairs.gov.au/ and search for your trade or profession to see if it in currently in demand. If you can’t find your trade in the list, there is very little chance that you can migrate to Australia, at this time. But this may change next year or next time when you check. If you can’t find it in the list you can use the other options I listed in one of my videos (student visa or work visa etc.) but they may not give you a guaranteed chance to PR in some cases. If you can find your trade, contact the relevant authorities listed in the above website, for further information and proceed with their support and recommendations. Only way to get such nursing jobs is via migration (either independent or sponsored) Please check on the Australian website for migration (immi.homeaffairs.gov.au/) for more information.
