This was never a "mistake" that Microsoft was correcting. Low Gamepass pricing was ALWAYS intended as a loss-leader to scale up the subscriber count and normalize the practice of subscription gaming. Once Microsoft "hooked" consumers, they would then use the levers at their disposal (pricing and access to games) to extract more money from consumers. This is no different from ridesharing or food delivery apps using VC funding to subsidize attractive prices and scale their user numbers, only to increase prices as soon as they gain marketshare.

Yep, didn't need a crystal ball to see this one coming. For a lot of people Game pass has been a cheap way to play games. But the model was never going to be sustainable in the long term. Of course MS was going to raise the price eventually. I'm so glad I never subscribed to battle pass. I don't go through games as quick as I used to, so game pass was never attractive for me. And now it's even less attractive.

That's because it was already out on the Switch a few months ago. This upcoming release is for all the other platform, so the statement is correct, this release will be for all non-Switch systems.

I ALMOST came back to Destiny 2 with The Final Shape but after watching some videos there's just way too much going on. I've played a bit of The First Descendant and honestly the gunplay just isn't that good. Nowhere near what Bungie does, which is the entire reason I wanted to go back to Destiny in the first place. They're still best in class at making a shooter feel good. Hoping for Destiny 3 in 2026!

MS run the upgrade gamepass core to ultimate way to cheap since it started. used 3years for 130€ and now since they changed the price it went down to 2 years (in my case for 150€). Its still a good price for the amoung of games. I dont wanna know how many people have a sub in netflix, prime, and whatever is out there without even using it. The "free" days are over, you all want to get paid!

I feel like a lot of people walked in expecting something as grandiose as Endwalker was when that should have never been the case. Endwalker was the finale to a 10 year buildup and the devs have already been saying that this is basically a vacation from everything and was going to be experimental. Seems like a lot of people didn’t like that the spotlight wasn’t constantly on the anymore either but I personally loved going to a new place I know nothing about and acting as a new warrior’s mentor.

I feel like people forgot we weren't the main focus of the story until Shadowbringers. Heavensward had Alphinaud and Stormblood had Lyse as their MC's, so it's fun just being along for the ride on this adventure again!

I've been seeing a lot of people who didn't enjoy the story being told they didn't like it because they weren't the center of attention. Personally I would of loved a good story where I was a side character.

I freaking loved the DT story. I appreciated just being along for the adventure and being a highly skilled friend, while the world and character building were both excellent. I did all the story and have done nearly all the side content, and I have zero complaints. I actually like it far more than Endwalker. I feel like the dungeon and trial design are tighter, while Endwalker felt like it wasn't really made for me as someone that only started playing when 6.2 was the new hot patch. Dawntrail feels like it was made for anyone new or old to get invested in.

plus the onboarding for those 2 games sucks for new pkayers. Ive tried them both this year when suicide squad gave me the looter itch but couldnt scratch it. Destiny is loaded with DLC locks. almost everything you try to click is blocked by dlc. warframe was just confusing. i literallt couldnt figure out what to do. furthermore, idk what people have against the gameplay. I started out with Boob Window (the freeze character) and her abilities trumped anything i played in my 10 hours in destiny in terms of fun. In destiny i had like a grenade, a float, and a healing circle? with her i got a grenade, this cool ice trail abilities that gives a speed boost and laces the ground with freeze, a sick frozen attack that underhand chucks freeze at enemies stopping them in place , and a high damage ultimate blizzard to take down huge groups. Super fun, super engaging, and thats just one character. ve unlocked 3 for free in the first week. destiny i dont think i ever got to change. same with warframe. Not to mention - GRAPPLING HOOK BABY. Very fun universal mechanic. even furthermore, whats witht he lack of nuance in regards to the store? there are ultimate characters, and they cost $50 yes (theres 3 of them) but the remaining 12 characters are literally $6 a piece. and ALL of them are unlockable for free with gameplay. I think the player count really shows the truth here. theyve got a good game with good bones and it will only get better as time goes on. meanwhile warframe and destiny are DINOSAURS. very good games but very old. same reason people will play concord and that marvel hero shooter when they come out. overwatch is 9 years old bruv.

I don’t mind a price increase given the cost of ABK, however, the way they handled this was awful. They claimed back in June that game pass console would have black ops 6 day one only to completely remove it as an option. I’m at my last stage of justifying gamepass so another price increase will be the end of my subscription also
