Alpha arbutin and vitamin c are both skin brightening actives so yes they can be layered with each other just make sure if you have sensitive skin use magnesium Ascorbyl Phosphate (MAP) vitamin c Yes you can use azelaic acid and vitamin c together you just have to use vitamin c in the morning and azelaic acid at night Use retinol and azelaic acid on alternating days to avoid irritation

Can you make a full "skin care video" routine for different problems. For example, a full routine/product recommendations (from facial wash to sunscreen) for people who want to get rid of acne scars and pigmentation, or a full routine for those who suffer from extremely dry skin, etc. I suffer from A LOT of acne scarring (my face legit looks like a chocolate chip) and i think it would be really helpful to know what products i should be using together to combat this issue. I buy so many products but no one actually ever says how or if they work with other things. So your recommendations would greatly be appreciated.

I love the concept of synergy in skincare! My favorite pair is azelaic acid and tretinoin. Also love iron oxides but wish it was more common for sunscreens to state the percentage along with the uv filters.

Totally Agree!
@ljuboblajic49033 жыл бұрын
@@DrAlexisStephens I think large particles of titanium dioxide can actually provide complete sunblock, but it is not popular because of thickness and white color. Manufacturers are not required to provide exact information about UVA and visible light in terms of nanometers (nm), leaving this issue open to marketing manipulation. Second problem is avobenzone which leaves yellow marks on clothes after washing in water as well as a transfer of white or tinted color on cotton or wool fabric.

like always, great video Dr. Also i think a great mix is azelaic acid + retinol + niacinamide + vitamin c if you can tolerate them. Your face need to be accustom to retinol first. If not, please dont use actif and focus on retinol and niacinamide first. Thank you Dr

I love it too! It just seems to work so well with other products in the daytime use. But I remember Kelly Driscoll giving it up because it has essential oils in it. I wish it didn't... But I like it better than other Vitamin C products that I have tried. I always wonder, though, how it is possible that Klairs has put water and L-ascorbic acid in the same product and it doesn't go bad. How is that? @Dr Alexis Stephens
