As an SC native, Reds are actually very abundant especially in the fall. They just happen to be very pressured in the Charleston Area which makes it much harder to get them to bite since they’re so finicky in the first place. Bluffton/ Beaufort area never disappoints.

Lake Gaston is amazing. Family took summer trips there for two summers and caught so many fish. You can go from catching endless spots offshore to catching 7lb+ largemouths in the back of creeks. So sick to see you guys fish familiar water!

Redfish especially in Charleston, SC get a lot of pressure. The fish are finicky. Secondly, a redfish tailing has his head in the mud digging around for food so it’s imported to let them “find” the bait them selves. Fishing slow is best

I stayed in a lakeside cabin on lake gaston as a kid and it blew my mind that it popped up in this video. there was a really cute black lab that would swim across from his dock to say hi and beg for treats :)
