Apples to oranges really. None of those players are the QB so it doesn't have the same impact. QB is already the highest paid position with the highest endorsement opportunities. This is about how big of a piece of the pie Dak should get not how much money he should make.

The idea that any player should take a discount to help his team is disingenuous. It is not dak's job to manage the salery cap. It is not daks job to sign other players. It is dak's job to play QB and make money.

Taking less money doesnt guarantee super bowls. It gives you a good chance and only works if the management puts the rest of the team (including coaches) together well, along with luck with injuries and such. Too much goes into winning it all that people dont factor in enough of.

Prob just depends what side of the argument you fall on. On this particular argument I agree with skip myself. Not that I actually think dak should take a discount. He might as well get paid. Cuz dallas won’t win regardless. As long as jerry is running the show (and maybe dak knows that) But it has been proven that teams are far more successful when they don’t pay the quarterback top dollar. (In the salary cap era anyway) Basically they’re both right. Dak shouldn’t take a discount. Because it doesn’t guarantee anything. As far as winning. And he also shouldn’t take max if he wants even a remote chance at winning. It’s a lose/lose situation.
