During a radio interview, Jerry Jones was asked what he thought about Dallas taking a quarterback if they were to land the number 1 overall pick in the 2021 Draft. @@guts8916 his injury this season is irrelevant considering he's not on his rookie contract. The last 4 seasons are when he should've built up a team. Jerry made a cast of good players but not a team. DeMarcus Lawrence isn't great but they made him and have not invested in the backfield heavily which is mainly the reason they lose.

The most beneficial move for Dallas might be to get Lawrence or Fields and allocate that cap that would be used for Dak towards the defense. And they get the best of both worlds.

They cut safeties every year and we have none. Jeff Heath was a solid player and was always around the ball. He's now a Raider along with Witten, Maliek Collins and Daniel Ross. Marinelli is in LV, he can draw lots of defensive players. Who fired him? The defense played 100% better last year.

How has he been failing for almost 30 years when he won titles during the 1990’s and nearly went to the NFC title game two years ago? If you want Jerry out, I’m down...I get it, and I agree. But you can’t say that the Cowboys have been a consistent failure under Joerres. They haven’t. They just haven’t done much over the last 15 years.

If they give out another huge deal they are going to be severely hampered again with the salary cap. If Dallas has the ability to take a top QB and save 30 million a year for 4-5 years well you might take it. Gives you a lot more flexibility for the future.

Yes, you are spot on. It has been 25 years and he felt anyone could coach the cowboys. Since Jimmy Johnson left the cupboard has been bare of any such championship. I really feel until Jerry Jones sells the team the Cowboys will not even see an NFC Championship game. He purchased the team via financing at $400 mil to being the most valuable sports team in sports world wide. He doesn't have to win to win big. Just be talked about often, to be exact.

This is exactly what happened to isiah Thomas in the nba. Made sacrifices , played big even when his sister died that week. Then what happens... Celtics trade him for IRving , Thomas never gets his big contract and now I think his out of the league. Not sure if Dak is gonna get his money.

People keep saying “well what about the defense?”. I love Dak but 9-10 million a year vs 35-40+ million a year, it’s a no brained. You take the crazy talented QB be it Trevor Lawerance or Justin Fields and you load up on defense through free agency. Then you have a contender for the next 5 years. Most teams getting to the super bowl lately are riding the backs of the young QB’s cap hit.

It would be so like the cowboys to move off a franchise QB and then draft a bust at QB. Crazy thing is they've paid all these defensive guys and they can't play or at least not in the defensive scheme they have now. If they get a high draft pick either draft a player to help that defense or trade the pick.

Dak is and will be the QB for The Dallas Cowboys. Dallas can’t afford to start over with another QB. Since Daks minor setback as you can see, we’ve already gone through 3 different QBs and it’s been disastrous. However if Jerry doesn’t sign Dak, North Dakota State QB Trey Lance is by far the best QB in 2021 Draft Class (Patrick Mahomes caliber) FrFr!!!

Honestly the Cowboys should draft Trevor or Justin Fields if they get the chance because Dak has done nothing besides put up numbers and passing yards. That stuff doesn’t matter he hasn’t done anything his only good year was in 2016 after that he hasn’t done anything he went 8-8 last year with a top 5 offense and a decent defense. And now that he suffered his ankle injury he’s not gonna be the same i say get rid of Dak and draft a QB in the first round and commit to that QB they draft

That's not the point. This year, with him at QB, they were averaging 32 points per game (defense nearly gave up 40). Without him, they've scored 2 touchdowns in 4 weeks. He's not exempt from any blame, but to say that he's the problem is total bogus.

If u can't draft Lawrence then draft oline or another position u need. I feel like taking any other qb other than Lawrence would be a lateral move as u compare him to Dak. Rebuild your oline and draft a top cover corner back. Maybe look for your next Demarcus Ware also. If u can't draft Lawrence, forget the others and re sign Dak.

He’s a first round talent but RBs are losing perceived value in the NFL (we didn’t have an RB drafted until the 32nd pick this year). It’ll be interesting to see.
