I love the Ultrakill video a lot because max0r somehow got Gianni Matragrano, who is the legitimate voice of Gabriel in the game, to voice Gabriel in this. Gianni appears in some prior max0r videos though, notably as Senator Armstrong in the MGR video and "Melatonin" in the Elden Ring one.

If you enjoyed Doom, you will love Ultrakill. That unlimited grenade launcher you said you wanted? That's in the game, it's just also the shotgun; but if you parry the bullets like Max0r said it becomes a flak cannon. Thing is if you thought Doom was fast, Ultrakill is like 10x faster, so get that crack ready.

ULTRAKILL is one of the only games that can match Max0r in terms of crack-up speed and pacing. ULTRAKILL is probably the fastest-pace boomer shooter out there. Everything from the gameplay to the premise to the game over screen one of the most “Videogame” video games. It looks like a fake video game you would see in a movie, and it’s great. The premise is that humanity is dead and you are a robot powered by blood, so you take a trip down to hell to get some. It’s based on Dante’s Inferno, meaning each level corresponds to one of the nine layers of hell. Max0r has only covered Act One in this video, the first three layers. Act Two is currently out and Act Three is being worked on. The best part about it is that you can do the most insane stunts, all tied together by a style meter. They’re all wacko and would confuse the heck out of someone who hasn’t learned what they are. For example, the phrase, “Core Eject into ULTRAricoshot with malicious railcannon” probably doesn’t make any sense to an outsider.

As someone who has played Ultrakill, it makes the video a lot easier to follow. Also if you do like grenade launchers you'll like the shotgun. It shoots grenades as a like alternate firing mode (those were what he was punching into enemies).

i love grenade launchers in games when they let me load rounds individually, i always love revolvers and pump-action or sawn-off shotguns because i load each round one by one and have to keep track of them. When it's just 'clips' i always find myself losing track and having to always check the remaining rounds and/or reload after every kill, but when i load them manually it feels completely different.

This is one of the few times where I’ll say that there’s a much better video on the subject than Max0r’s. (even though the better video is about an hour long.😅) Rata (RANK10YGO)’s video on Ultrakill was made a few months before Max0r’s and doesn’t have his hyper-editing, so you can understand how crazy and fast-paced the game is naturally. Most times, Maxor’s editing is chocolate-coated crack. This video, it’s like cocaine-coated crack; it makes me wonder “Was this REALLY necessary?” [Editing for assorted comments] Know what the best part (which I learned from Rata’s video) about being able to punch your own shotgun bullets to power them up? It was a glitch that the developer left in the game because it was too much fun. Also, 9:50 Max0r’s kind of showing off that the game actually has a “create your own custom stage” mechanic. So somebody actually made an Ultrakill stage which has Linus’ tech-tips face painted EVERYWHERE, lol. (edit) Okay, no comments about anything related to Rata’s video, instead I’ll bring up related to 19:50 that I thought was funny. There are multiple animes/mangas/games which are about “ship-girls” which are about various famous battleships, carriers, submarines, and etc if they were suddenly turned into girls and women. (Kantai Collection AKA Kancolle, Azur Lane, one or two other series, etc) Now, the ship-girls have different personalities depending on what kind of ship they are, and that ship’s history. Example: Japanese Submarine ship-girls act very lewd, flirting, shameless teases because they’re desperate for attention (WW2 Japanese submarine crews and the subs were ignored despite their efforts in the war) while American sub-girls are kleptomaniacs. (WW2 the department for supplying subs was run by corrupt assholes who kept short-sheeting submarines and their crews on supplies and equipment) Now, the reason I’m bringing this up, because it’s funny. To prevent stepping on each others toes (copyright infringement) the different ship-girl series will make the girls look different and have different personalities between them. Kancolle USS Texas won’t look or act like Azur Lane USS Texas, for example. Someone. Some MADLAD found surviving veterans who served on various ships for America, Japan, and etc and showed them a whole bunch of shipgirl stuff, and asked them which series “Got it right.”😂 And most of these vets agreed that Kancolle got the best designs AND personalities for their interpretation of various ships. The line that just fucking SENDS me is about the USS Iowa where one vet said that if the Kancolle USS Iowa design existed back then, they’d have painted her picture all over the ship “And we’d all jack off to it.” 😂🤣 I’m fucking dead.

Ultrakill is basically like doom on FUCKIGN CRACK and is the perfect game for a max0r video. Playing that game is a MUST in my opinion if you like fast paces fps-games.

If you guys haven't played Ultrakill yet, i highly recommend playing the game. The game is fun and hyper paced. People discounted it as Doom but sheiiiiiit, it's better than Doom. Again, it's a game to try out and play instead of watching someone play it. Maxor sugar coated it severely, since the pace of the game is the actual pace, it isn't sped up. Not only that, Rank10YGO (Rata) and ThatTravGuy have hour long videos on the game. Rata covers all of the Prelude and act 1, the secrets and explains everything in depth. Highly recommend watching that video as an introduction. ThatTravGuy goes in depth for Act 1, 2 and 3. He even goes in depth for all the weapons and stages, hell even the lore at times. Edit: As for the coin mechanic. Oh boy. There are 20 minute videos attempting to explain the coin mechanic. There are *COUNTLESS* possibilities on how to use the coin. Before getting into the game, i do suggest watching those videos and practicing
