I would say know the trends of the genre of pops you like. Anime pops tend to sell out quicker. Where others don't. So If you are on a budget make sure to snatch the ones that sell out quicker.

Don't let the insert get thrown away is what I wish I told myelf! I got a grimmjow and renji funko pop on christmas and someone threw away the insert! So now I needa browse ebay and mercari everyday looking for a box replacement :(

Make sure to research or background check someone selling a pop to you on a website and keep an eye on prices

Save the boxes! I started early on as a casual out of box collector, tossing the boxes without a thought. Finally saw a few years later how many early pops are actually worth with the box

also save the inserts. I tried to save space by binning the plastic insert and fold the box flat. It's a waste of time because at that point there's no value in the box.

This was even before i started collecting funko the number one thing i did when i bought my first one was simple i keep it in the box because that's with anything collectible if you're going to sell something buyers 1. Want them mint in the box and 2. If you have them autographed they want proof of a coa with it. As a collector myself there's still one thing i still havent figured out and thats why some funkos just have pop written on them and some has the red bar under it that says marvel, television, etc. 🤔🤷‍♂️

Nice list for people. As for the question of the day, the thing I would have love to tell myself when I started was not to go to hard in buying almost every pop that I saw that I thought was ok. Still paying for it now every time I have go through my collection and try to sell off one I don't need anymore to make room. Also, don't buy so many mystery boxes. I am still trying to kick that bad habit.

I've been pop collecting for over four years now, and I can't agree with you more on having fun collecting I used to just collect pops because I liked them now I just feel I collect them thinking I have to have them to make a set but honestly I might go back to just getting what I really like and don't if that makes sense also HAPPY BIRTHDAY 🎊

I got an 18 inch All Might for $28 at my local GameStop. They already had him locally discounted for 50 bucks, but then they were having a nationwide sale on Clearance items. I had walked in and seen him many times. I asked “with the discount on All Might what’s the price on him now?” She was like “28 dollars! Wow that’s crazy!” I literally ran to All Might in the store and grabbed him and ran back to the counter. I would’ve pushed children if they were in my way!! (Just kidding) But dude…still my happiest Funko moment

My advice to my younger collecting self is to make a blue print on how you wanna display them before buying the set, get a bunch of protectors from Amazon and especially to don’t give into FOMO

Thank you!! I started to collect Funko Pop figures since two of my friends bought me reconfigured. I bought my first one back on 2021, but I no longer like or, so I gave it away to an orphanage 😊 - I plan to buy the figures of the series I like combined with the Bluerays or Mangas of that series

I've never collected anything that I didn't use like how I use cards and video games. Curious about this since they could increase value in time and my local game store sells and buys a bunch of these. If I just collect, I'd want to do either naruto, bleach, dragon ball, or pokemon collections.

Don’t collect sets just to complete it and not enjoy it! Spent so much money trying to complete a set, that half of the pops I bought for the set I didn’t even want, lmao, only collect pops that you genuinely want!

I just started too I got 4. All Dragon Ball I got glow chase Goku with wings, UI Goku vs Jiren in a 2 pack set, and super saiyan Trunks w sword lol. I don’t know much just been grabbing what I like. It’s crazy cuz the Goku w wings shot way up in price recently.

The one thing I would tell myself is to invest in pop protectors. I have a few grails now that are damaged as I was stacking them on top of each other without protectors.

👌 love this newish im to collecting the fake side of things confuses me so much there's so many that look the same can you do more on this , like I've seen listings were they use actual Funko pictures and say Funko pop vinyl in the brand description but then the price is $20 each for a 10 piece collection so 200 were as I know one of this certain collection is going for $100 🤔

I have a question. The 2 funko pop retailers i want to go to are game stop and 5 below. Five below has funko pops for less money, but game stop has funko pops that I really like (I like both funko pops sold, I just like the ones at game stop better.) Which one do I go for? Is it worth getting the 6 pack guaranteed chase bundle for chalice exclusives? Idk how hard they are to find or how much more the chalice chases are sold by themselves

Try checking out toy temple they bundle a common and chase for $80. Typically new chase if it glows go for around 60-$80. If it does not glow usually it's abot $50 to $60 if new and if we are talking anime.

Unfortunately I have purchased two fake Funko Pops one from the comic book store in my Mall. War Machine Iron Man 3 wasn't a bobblehead and was very dark black. And I ordered a red eye golden Frieza off mercari for like 70🤦🏽‍♂️😡🤦🏽‍♂️

If I knew it would become an addiction, I would've never started my collection. I have more than 1,000 Pops. Why!! I don't know what happened to my brain. These Pops are the devil :( Pokémon's cousin. Got to catch them all. July was going to be "No buy July". I purchased Funko Pops every single day of July. I need Funko Pops Anonymous. I really caved in with the FOMO thing for this years SDCC. I bought Gran Torino on some weird website for like double his retail price because I thought he was going to sell out fast on boxlunch. Luckily I got him from boxlunch and got a refund for the overpriced website
