Gavin is really taking these reviews to the next level. I remember earlier the Autocar reviews just used to be about space and power and other standard stuff. No one ever talked from a car enthusiasts perspective and the little things about a car makes you feel, from the way this guy speaks you can understand he really loves cars and that is paramount when it comes to being a good car reviewer. Keep it up!

Thanks for the video.. i was waiting for this model to launch.. i have a doubt.. can u plz confirm which music sytem they are offering.. regular one or CANTON.. nothing was mentioned in the brochure also.. euro spec version does have canton music system.. can u plz confirm..??

I would buy the polo gti even if I had the money to buy the octavia RS. perks of owning a polo gti 1) Easly parkable anywhere especially in cities like Bangalore 2) Hardly anyone would notice that you got a beast under the hood since it looks just like the regular polo 3) way cheaper than the octivia rs right now 4) Power to weight ratio is off the charts 5) More room for ecu remapping, it has the same engine as the rs only difference is the displacement which is less only by 200 cc. with an ecu remap it can produce the same amount of power as an RS and will have a way better power to weight ratio.

Everyway : POWER, better driveability, better looking interior and more spacious than the basic 'german' interior and the lack of an "i need a german luxury car but can't afford any of the real luxury models with the options" image. Not to mention cheaper maintenance.

This is the factory exhaust. Skoda have done a good job fitting this beast with a decent exhaust, but I still feel it needs an upgrade :D

I have seen the European specs of this car its got way less power in india its actually a 280 hp car which has been detuned for india to produce 230 hp. Probably for cost cutting to make the price more attractive.

I want to purchase a car, so I request you please suggest the best option for me. Budget - 1.5lac to 2lac Condition - used Usage - 100km a day ( I frequently need to travel for marketing purpose) Seeking for - low maintenance and good mileage. Means overall cost of running should be less. Fuel - LPG or Diesel Also this will be my first car. I know this is very less budget but please suggest me the best option. Thank you. The diesel RS is not worthy of the RS name, buddy. We get it here in Australia, and it sells about one tenth of what the petrol RS does. And plus, it would push the Octavia's price even higher. The real shame is that you guys won't get the 245hp Octavia RS245, my god that is a fun car.

Come on yaar. Don't call Skoda ignorant before you correct your knowledge level . Any enthusiast will know TSI is the real VRS and that too a full blown 230 BHP, not just a namesake.
