Nice job. Simply explained and presented. Two things I would add. Back flow preventer between the city and bus side. And flexible hose on each side of the pump. Nicely done!!

Pex pipe works is one use for plumbing but I have chose a flexable reenforced food grade plastic tubing. So easy to use over a pipe use.

For starters, love the video and break down! I have a couple questions. 1. Did you/where would you put in a fliter? 2. Instead of putting 2 inlets for city and water tank fill, could you put a 3-way valve on the water tank fill to divert the city water past the system?
@TheirHappyTrails
@TheirHappyTrails 7 ай бұрын
Awesome! Glad it was helpful. We used one of the normal RV filters that you use with the hose as he filled the tanks. Then we had a water filter for drinking. You absolutely could put a three-way valve on the water tank, but in our configuration, it would’ve been harder to do to lift the bed up every time. it’s just whatever it would work best for you!

Awesome video! My one question is, what about the gray water tank? Do I just run a hose from each sink & shower to the gray tank? That also needs a vent as well, correct?
@TheirHappyTrails
@TheirHappyTrails 11 күн бұрын
@@chelseyteats3190 yes! And yes! I ran normal 1 1/2 inch pipe to my gray tank and used “gray tank 1 1/2” rubber garments” (look that up)

Does the Max pressure of the water pump need to be lesser than or equal to that of the accumulator tank, or can it be a little more? For example, Im seeing that most accumulators have a 125 max psi, but Im finding 12v are typically either 100 max or 130 max.
@TheirHappyTrails
@TheirHappyTrails 2 ай бұрын
I’m not sure about that. I would assume a person wouldn’t want to go over the max of the accumulation tank, but that’s just my best guess

For a normal plumbing system that might be correct. I’ve never had any issues with the ones that I used. They’re kind of like, not the best but the beginner friendly version of plumbing 😂.

The information provided is helpful... but a complete tutorial? You never even begin to discuss gray water tanks and the draining system. It would also be nice if you took the time to explain city pressure and gravity filling and how that works. It feels like this is meant for "dummies", which is perfect and exactly what I wanted, but you started to lose me as soon as you assumed I knew how city pressure works and what the default choices are. Instead, it sorta devolved into you explaining your own personal setup instead of helping others understand the options, how they work and what reasons one would have to choose each one. Still a lot of helpful stuff here that I really appreciate, but I still feel like I had to go find 3 more videos to get a "complete tutorial".

Hey man, thanks for the input! It’s hard to gauge what people know and don’t know. Some things seem obvious to me and not to others. If you have an other questions specifically let me know. If you still feel lost about it, just do it. It’s way more simple than most people think, but you have to just do the work to understand it. Videos don’t fully cut it

Spliced behind the walls rather it be a 90 or Tee spliced fitting. All fittings should be easily acceptable with out removing walls or flooring. That’s what I was trying to say.
