I see what you're saying. I'm even surprised at myself for being into this music.I'm 54 and I don't have any friends that listen to this type of musicIt's not easy listening music by any means.All I can say is that Skrillex's melodies coupled with his hard & abrupt left and right turns speak to me on an emotional level. I am more accepting of out of the ordinary things at this point in my life.This music helped me get through some tough physical pain this year so its more than just songs to me

XxShoot2KillxX DJs usually are behind the speakers that play for the crowd, so it sounds weird from their angle, which might make them think something is wrong with their track. So they put speakers next to them so they can hear it better as well. Also, they might use those speakers for their pre-cuing and such, instead of using headphones.

At that time, his setup was just the M-Audio Trigger Finger and his laptop, so that probably wasn't his. But nonethless nothing was running though it, he has since upgraded to Pioneer CDJ's (can't remember the model)

When I first heard Skrillex I wasn't blown away as much as I was curious as to what the fuck was he doing to make that sound and was pretty excited to hear him mixing melodies with these screeching turns.I admit I was a bit primed from Pendulum's The Island Part 2. So I was able to appreciate it and from there I opened up and it grew on me in a big way.Saw him live, two shows in one night, by myself cuz no friends are into him. best night ever.

Yes, Sonny Moore was the lead singer of from first to last and he had a rumor that he committed suicide because he was being labeled as "emo" and whatever accusations that is being thrown at him. and then now he made a comeback as Skrillex.
