How to Make Chainsaw Man Cosplay Arm Blades with Free PDF Templates! In this Part 3 video I will go over all of the steps I took to create Chainsaw Man's cosplay arm blades and by downloading the free PDF templates from my site you can build it right along with me. These Chainsaw Man prop blades made almost entirely out of EVA HD Foam and because of that they weigh in at an amazing 11 ounces each! In this Part 1 video I go through all of the fabrication steps needed to create the cosplay helmet. In Part 2 I cover the acrylic painting and weathering processes including epoxy gore. This Chainsaw Man cosplay is based off of the manga and the Anime PV trailer. I took some liberties myself with the back of the head because it is never fully shown in the trailer and varies panel to panel in the manga. Because of that some details might not be 100% but it's definitely good enough for cosplay and worse case you can make up your own details.
For those that don't know Chainsaw Man is an amazing over the top gory manga that is currently be made into an anime. I know Denji will be a fan favorite and Chainsaw Man Cosplays will be everywhere...so get a start on yours now!

One improv I did on this is to change the length of the blade, which I made it a bit longer enough to reach just near the ankle, as well as how big it is for me, since when referencing the manga, the arm blades are not that wide compared to Denji's hand. Though by changing that I also had to replace the rod support for a thin plywood copy of the blade for support

Hey quick questions, I’m in the process of making this myself and I’m just wondering (correct me if I’m wrong but I don’t think you mentioned it in the video) how many teeth you made in the making of the arm blades? Also I ran out of 6mm foam, but I have some 10mm, 4mm, and 1mm (I accidentally ordered 1mm instead of 2mm), so would it be possible for me to supplement the 6mm foam for 10mm foam and still be alright on the arm blades? I’m on a bit of a time crunch so I’m unable to order more, so I’ll have to make due with what I have on hand. (Also I just wanted to say thank you for making the PDFs free, I would not be able to complete this project without them!) Thanks!

I'd just pick up 3 one for each arm and one for the head. They are usually 48" long just go check out the driveway or yard marker section at any hardware store

How many rolls of HD foam should I buy to make these?
@SKSProps
@SKSProps Жыл бұрын
a roll of each size 2,4,6,10mm should be fine for the helmet and arms as long as you lay your patterns out right

@SKSProps

One roll of each size 2,4,6,10mm should do it. You might need an additional 6mm for the arms depending on how you lay the pattern out 👍

@SKSProps
@SKSProps 2 жыл бұрын
No your eyes will be up where the slits are. To see forward you’ll just tilt your head back to see through the teeth. Part J is the piece where you adjust it to fit you.

Add a little heat with your heat gun and curl it the opposite way. Once you glue the halves together it will also straighten the arm blades out
