I have a question, do I HAVE to attack the other people trying to capture the point? Because my ship was messing folks up and they weren’t firing back so I stopped and l still won a point. If that was anyone here sorry lol.

Thanks for the update! Are you sure the others are rewarded with it too? Because only the player that reaches 100% on the progress bar should be rewarded with the manufactory. The times I wasn’t 100% I got nothing??

That’s a shame you aren’t enjoying the end game content. If you upgrade the manufactory a lot it will hold much more pieces of 8 so you only do a few bigger trips instead of all the small ones. Have you tried the opium and rum supply runs? They are another good way to get pieces of 8

Thanks for the tips and I 100% agree! Except yesterday a PVP event spawned in and I checked and it said I already owned the manufactory, so I’m not sure if that was a glitch?? Big groups of those rogues are so hard to fight off, the Brigantine is definitely best to out run them!

Sorry but I disagree w the pve event frequency. I have never done any but the introductory one and I’ve been waiting hours and hours and hours to see another but seen tons of pvp events

The only times I haven’t seen pve events spawn with the pvp events is when the factory they are tied to I already have. I am on Xbox btw. I own every factory in red isle now and I’m never notified of any pvp/pve event spawning

Yeah that definitely still works! Just have to watch out because if another player is in the event they may be going crazy sinking ships and the game mode gives them bonus points towards the 100%!

The way it restricts fast travel can be confusing and really annoying! I have only found 2 reasons why it restricts fast travel, either you have pieces of 8 on you (if so you need to sail to Sainte-Anne or Telok Penjarah, so it will bank it, then you’re free to fast travel again). Or you accepted a smuggling run contract from the helm, which also doesn’t let you fast travel until the smuggling order is complete. The easiest way to check which one it is, is to firstly check your cargo for pieces of 8. If no pieces of 8 then open your map, then your journal and scroll on the left to see if you have any green icons saying “standard order”, if you have one of these you must complete it before you can fast travel again. I think you should also be able to cancel it. I hope this helps :)

@jicThat makes sense now. The recent issue yesterday was doing those pve/pvp events to take over the manufacturing sites. I did 3 of them, never died and for some reason I wasn't able to take over any of the manufacturing sites.. I did join the events as well.. Not sure what I was doing wrong because I did do 2 already and captured them..

@@tjl8884 that sounds very odd. Did you try investing the silver to get them operational?

I agree that we should be able to invest in an upgrade so we can recruit other ships to automatically do the collection runs for us. It would free us up for the fun boss battles and monster fights etc. the new season will be here really soon so hopefully they address it by then :)

Yeah you will definitely needs lots of silver. I found I can make a lot by doing a lot of plundering and only selling items to in demand customers. I have 180,000 silver now

Ship wrecks give insane amount of silver ... sometimes there 6 close to each other each 300-500 silver .... no brainer. Only sell commodities on 1-2 up arrows and only buy un 1-2 down arrows ... easy game.....

The higher you upgrade them the less silver they need. On lvl 7 it costs 4k but they also working for around 8 Hours. ^^ also there the Upgrades from the Table come in Handy to reduce the Working Prices and increase the amount of Po8 you get.

I haven’t bought access to Africa or East Indies yet so I can’t say for sure, I have been levelling my red isles manufactories to level 7 instead. But I also hope there is something to make the process easier for the African side as that is a lot of ground to cover on each collection run. Hopefully someone else in the comments section can answer you :)

Are you talking about the PVE event with the French convoy? Once it’s all over you should get a notification telling you which manufactory you got and then just spend some silver to get it running

Yeah I don’t think the table upgrades are worth the short turn around either, the individual manufactory upgrades are definitely worth while though as they remain for the full 90 something days :)

@@gusomajic but if you want all the weapons you have to upgrade the table to a specific level cause with it you get new Recipes for your Rum and Opium Crafting Station. And you need that golden Rum for Scurlocks long Nine.....or you be Lucky and get couple of these in Legendary Chests like i did.......AFTER ive upgraded the Tsble -.-

Just put the items it needs in your inventory take it down there and Interact with the location. You’ll have an option to speed up the production

Me too, I really want that Sambuk ship! I recommend upgrading your red isle manufactories first, that way you can continue picking up the pieces of 8 easier than having to sailing to the east indies or Africa too. Manufactories at max level will hold way more pieces of 8 before being full. You can do way less trips

Hey Sgt! :) There is a lot of information to take in but I’ll help you get through it. Yeah if you start smuggling rum it’ll help you build up your silver, which you’ll need to find your manufactories once you hit king pin rank. So if you’re doing heists and pieces of 8 runs back and fourth from Saint-Anne I highly recommend the brigantine. Its speed is just too good, most of the time you can outrun the rogue pirates that hunt you down. Plus it is nimble in the river areas, which the rogues are slow in. Padewakang is a great ship though, I find it best for long distance fighting with flame bombards equipped, as it has damage multipliers for it. The all round good ship depends on your favourite playstyle, but generally speaking I think the brigantine will be very helpful just from its speed alone. It’s unmatched in that area and will help you escape a lot of dangerous situations. In general I think brigantine is most helpful for majority of activities. Padewakang is great for long distance weapons, especially the flame bombards and leopold mortar. The Snow tank ship is great for plundering and hostile takeovers because it can brace and deflect most incoming damage. So it would do best with close range weapons. The sails pattern and colour is the navigators set, it is free in the Ubisoft store so you can go and grab it now :) i really like the colour scheme too. It pops nicely! Thank you! No, that’s to speed it up. You must fund each location with silver. This can all be done on your helm map

Is that from your totally hourly production from all your manufactories or just a single one? Because totally hourly production can go down depending if some manufactories are full or not currently funded, as they won’t be producing anymore until they are collected or funded. But the only reasons I can think that a single manufactory would drop in production is if when you last funded it, you selected a cheaper rum to fund it, which lowers or increases its production rate dependent on the ingredient you chose. It could have also decreased if another manufactory that is connected via a trade route is full or not funded. Because the trade route link between active manufactories gives a big production boost. If the connected manufactory is inactive then you lose this production boost. I hope this helps :)

Have you reached kingpin rank and followed the in game prompts to unlock your first one? Also are you checking your “helm” map and not your standard map?

With the PVE event it awards it to the whole team, no matter who returned the loot. So it’s a win win. Great option to play with friends

@@gusomajic tbh i really hope they gonna change the quest. I already had 2 pve Quests with AFK Player who did absolute nothing except chilling in Saint Anne. They should change it in when you leave the specific quest area your quest getting canceled after a while.

I really recommend the barque and increasing its healing abilities. It’s the 2nd fastest ship, stamina drains much slower then the brigantine and the passive heal means you don’t use anywhere near as many repair kits. I have a good barque build on my channel :)

I recommend firstly upgrading manufactories that are closest to Saint-Anne that are in the same territory. Next I would upgrade the ones that are on the same trade route. This way it’ll maximise your pieces of eight generation and you don’t have to do as many trips. Unlocking another zone does look like a lot of sail involved 😂

I had the same problem happen for me too. I couldn’t find how to cancel it but the location eventually showed up. If you zoom out on the map and switch to helm map does it show you? Or on your compass at top of your screen?

@gusomajic doesn't show on either the map or compass as the other green octopus markers do. i have not taken the first rogue shipment interception quest yet and is it possible that it is connected to that by any chance? plus i also had the blacksmith quest for hitting wrecked ships for the salvage crates bug out saying i had 2/3 crates and a medium pirate ship still to crowbar and i had 23 or more crates to give him 🤷 i really hope that the quests will be able to be finished or will have to wait for a f'ing patch 🤦

It can be tough starting out, I’d definitely recommend doing the PVE events first as it’s a much easier way to get the manufactories. Also what ship and level is it that you’re using for the PvP?

@@gusomajic i figured it out in the meantime, i just did the hostile takeovers where no other player went, was 100 times easier. I got a lvl 10 Brigantine atm but i generally prefer my Vanguard

I found the easiest way to get silver is to plunder settlements whenever you have the opportunity and doing the take over events for the manufactories. You’ll end up with so much extra silver this way. Also if you continually collect commodities like cacao, spices, ornate pistols etc, then zoom out on the map and hover over regions of the map it will tell you which items are in most demand. Then if you have these in demand items make sure you sell it to them as it will give you the most money for them. I hope this makes sense? :)

Wait till theyre full then use fast travel to start the collection of half a dozen in south end then bank, rinse repeat for north end etc

Yeah this is what I do to speed the process up. Fast travel to a point near a group of them, then sail around picking up maybe 4 at a time and then sail straight to Saint-Anne. But just remember this can spawn in a lot of pirates that try to sink you

That’s just the way to get Po8 quickly. Once you upgrade your manufactories to level 10 you only need to go collect once every 2 days. So it gives you way more time for more fun pirate stuff 🏴‍☠️

So just bring up your map like normal and tab to the right once and that will be your smuggling empire map. For me on PS5 I press R1 once to scroll across to it from the main menu map. Let me know if you still can’t find it. And I don’t think we can view the smugglers pass yet because the season isn’t live, I’m sure we will hear more from Ubisoft on when they will make it go live :)

Yeah I have all manufactories on the red isles and I spend a lot of timing sailing back and fourth. A helm table upgrade where we could invest pieces of 8 to recruit other ships to do it automatically would be a massive improvement. Hopefully it’s something Ubisoft see and add in the near future :)

Yeah that is true, but I was meaning you can’t access your first manufactory until you reach king pin.

You can access the helm before but you can’t start controlling manufactories until you reach king pin :)

Yeah I heard that, except I have hope because season 2 brings something called “Fleet management” and it is rumoured that maybe this function will allow us to control a fleet that may be able to sail around and collect our pieces of 8 etc for us, so we can concentrate on more pirate mayhem. I really hope this is the case

@@gusomajic I hope that is the case, it was quite annoying to read it while I was playing the game. It just doesn't make sense to reset then with some replacement feature that doesn't make us feel like regressing. Especially in an mmo type game which is fundamentally based on time spent progressing your character.

@@NKal yeah I agree :) heaps of people have posted with the same view so hopefully Ubisoft listen and the fleet management set up works well. We won’t know for sure until the new season begins
