This game is legit. If you take away the Hololive stuff, it is still a great fighting game. Balanced characters, great and fluid combos... and the devs are updating it all the time and encouraging players to report any bugs they find so they can correct them. I'm serious, Idol Showdown would feel right at home in the next EVO

Honestly all really good characters and great gameplay. Also Botan might be the most busted character in the game. They had to patch out a infinite that was discovered.

Wanted to be an Aki main soon as I saw her in the roster but man I suck at using zoners lol. Love seeing the love this game's immediately been getting, and the devs have been rapid firing those hotfixes and updates like nuthin'.

I believe you can learn 💪! The most important part when playing zoners is knowing when to stop zoning 😌 and you'll figure that out by getting hit a bunch 😇 I know I did 😭😂

I feel like aki could be played as a mid range pressure character because of her good range and the big girl single punch and slam. I feel like maybe playing a bit more around 3/4 screen to 1/2 screen might be best. At least until you can secure a combo, I’ll try it out whenever possible

@@splnter648 She definitely can because her 6M pulls the opponent in for a Low/Throw mixup as well as being good enough for a blockstring! I personally think zoners are strongest when they can switch to playing mid range all of a sudden so I'm really happy that her projectiles allow you to guide the opponent into her spacing range 😈

I've got somewhere around 12 hours on Aki now, from my experience her TP is really what makes her shine, even without it the amount of combo starters she has is insane. I personally have the most success by kind of controlling the pace of the fight, rather than trying to run away. For example you can back up a bit, use a couple projectiles, then tp onto them and go crazy, or you can wait until they come to you and punish with down heavy into a huge combo, because that's the thing with Aki, all you need is to get one hit and you can easily get a 300-400 damage combo with no meter

Aki’s biggest troubles are Korone and Fubuki because they can just bring constant pressure.

Nah, aki is a broken character. Only suisei and botan have a chance to beat her. She's hard to use but when you master it you can beat 99% except if you got mirror match that's 50/50.

@@edwardvilla3228 oh 100%, I find crazy that people are only finding out now lmao. I mean she has the best zoning moves, has an instant TP which can tp above them too, has the best sweep in the game, and pretty much every single move can begin a minimum 300 damage combo. She's ridiculous

I love this! I am barely able to know what is happening. I do love Hololive and it's surrounding games, but this is awesome. I know that fan-games may be sub-par, but these are above and beyond the norm at the very least. This is a great series! Idol = showdown is unmatched!
