This time on THE IDENT REVIEW, we look at the NEW children's channel from one of the biggest juggernauts in satellite and digital television, Sky! Launching in February 2023, we examine all of the idents put out so far by the latest newcomer to the children's content scene, it's SKY KIDS!
The Ident Review began in May 2018 and since has spawned over 100 episodes and even a spin-off show, the Ident Review Extra! It remains a firm AMTV favourite to this day!

While Sky Kids Is Nothing To Go Crazy About, we have to remember with CBBC’s Move To Online And CITV’s Unexpected Imminent Closure, this is what this generation is going to grow up with on terrestrial Television. This is what they will remember. My younger sister (6ys) is a big fan of the channel. I’ve had a little watch of the channel and it’s not the best, but it’s younger sibling Approved!

I find it a bit odd that they've just launched Sky Kids as recently as February, while at the same time all the Disney Channels were shut down, CITV has been shut down (right?) and the BBC are going to shut down CBBC in a few years later. Nethertheless, good luck to them. They might need it in a time when traditional television is dying and most people have moved to the internet.

CITV will be online only from summer 2023. And the channel will be removed in Autumn. Because CITV is being changed to ITVX Kids CBBC isn't being shut but it is only going to be accessed online only.

@The Autistic DJ CITV won't be online only. It will be gone forever now, how did you get the news beforehand? Does this mean a "single" ITV move online? Link please? And secondly it isn't gonna be just CBBC, by 2030, everything on TV will go forever. You don't understand future predictions, it could be dangerous as we know what comes later, like how Kid E Cats has 3 seasons and no season 4 or 5.

It is just a channel from Sky, nothing major... Besides all there is on Sky is Cartoon Network Boomerang Nickelodeon Sky Kids CBBC (for a few years left to go) CBeebies POP Tiny Pop (only accessible for local freeview regions) Pop Max Baby TV CITV (till autumn) because they be online only due to name change as well to ITVX Kids

Scince teletoon (canada) is shutting down,we can look at the planet idents from 1997,there are 4 planets,the morning,afternoon,evening and night 4 idents in each one

Whenever I see the Whoopee Cushion ident whilst tuning it to Sky Kids, I will be like "OH GOD NOT THE WHOOPEE CUSHION". Even though it's suitable for kids like under 6s. But apparently it's something that the older kids should never ever do because they shouldn't be treating themselves like a 5 year old.

If there’s one criticism I can give to this set (and honestly, it’s more of a nitpick) it would be that I wish the backgrounds were more suitable to what’s going on like how I would put a black background in the rocket ident or a kitchen in the spaghetti ident. Other than that, I think Sky Kids did a great job at creating vibrant, creative, and fun idents which will catch kids’ attention.
