I visited Sky Lagoon in Iceland and here's my honest review of what's worth it and what's not worth it! In this Iceland travel vlog, I went to Sky Lagoon with a Pure Pass and I will give you all the details on what to expect.
Is Sky Lagoon worth the visit? That's up to you to decide! But be sure to watch the video to find out all the details on what you need to know before deciding!
Sky Lagoon Iceland is one of the top things to do in Reykjavik, Iceland. And lots of people always compare blue lagoon vs sky lagoon to find out which is the best natural hot spring in Iceland.
I honestly wanted to do both but I could only go to Sky Lagoon and I went for the Pure pass which is the sky lagoon 7 step ritual and I thought it was not worth it. There 3 passes in sky lagoon including pure lite, pure pass and sky pass and I got the pure pass with transfer.

You get private changing room with sky package. Since it is a once in a lifetime experience, i think double the cost is more than worth it. If i recall correctly you also get one free drink with that package. Regarding the ritual, you have to go in with the mindset of suffering to change your physiology and psyche. You have to spend at least two minutes submerged in the cold plunge. At first it is hell but after a minute you stop feeling the cold. Then once you get into the sauna it takes a while for your body to feel warm. It goes from cold to hot then cold to hot and for me it was exhilarating and i don't even like spa type activities.

Whether it’s worth it or not is very subjective. As someone who travels on a budget and promotes affordable activities, that package was a splurge I didn’t feel comfortable with.

@Whatsnextakanksha So you are saying it's not worth the money. But it's either worth doing or not irrespective of money, right? For instance, whether or not seeing the mona lisa at the louvre is free or costs an extra 20 euros doesn't matter to me because i wouldn't see it either way; it's just an awful experience. The whole point of sky lagoon is the 7 step ritual. That's the big difference between the sky lagoon and the blue lagoon other than the proximity to the city. So why even go if not for the 7 steps?

Hi, thanks a lot for the honest review! I am visiting Sky Lagoon next month and I am worried about 2 things: 1. Transfer from Airport to Sky Lagoon and then back to my hotel 2. I will buy the Pure Lite Pass: is there any way I can shower & change my clothes while in a private location? Thanks again, Keep it up :)

1. You can take Flybus for this route. 2. Yeah there is a small toilet where I changed as well. It’s not for changing but I used it.
